Can you see them in your Contributions section on Wayfarer?

Just so you're aware, you're not submitting Pokéstops, you're submitting wayspots which may or may not become Pokéstops depending on whether they are in unoccupied level 17 S2 cells.

Also, the process isn't necessarily quick. It can take several months or even years of voting depending on where you are. The 48 hour period you reference is from when you receive an acceptance. If it hasn't appeared after 48 hours from when it was accepted, it's likely that it didn't pass the proximity check in Pokémon Go and that there's already a Pokéstop or Gym in that level 17 S2 cell.

If you login to the Wayfarer website and go to the contributions page linked below, you can check whether your nominations are in the queue, in voting, accepted or rejected. If any of them have been accepted but don't appear, then see my above comment about level 17 S2 cells. If you don't know how to check that yourself, feel free to provide the coordinates and someone else can check it for you.

I don't think anywhere has 24-hour turnaround from nomination to resolved. Typically, every nomination has a 24-hour wait period - to give you time to edit while it's still In Queue. (Once it goes In Voting, you can't edit it anymore.) Then it's at LEAST a couple days in voting, to get enough reviewers to look at it. Our best guess (by reverse engineering) is that it takes 40-50 reviewers to agree, which could be nearly 100 reviewers total.

If you're within around 20 miles of a big city, your nominations are slow-tracked by Niantic. Two months is FAST for resolution. Six months is more usual. Over a year is shocking but pretty common.

I'm an hour's drive from a city (traffic!). My nominations take 3-12 months and more. One nom is 12 months old - I'm hoping it'll get traction soon!

You can review other people's nominations to earn upgrades for your nominiations. You have to get 100 agreements with other reviewers for one upgrade. That takes around 175 reviews, around 2-3 hours. (So it's somewhat practical to upgrade your favorite nomination, but not very practical for lots of nominations.) Reviewing also helps clear the backlog. You won't get your own nomination to review - but you'll get others out of the way so yours might be seen quicker by other people.

If you are saying they were accepted and you don’t see them, go back physically to the place where they should be and try nominating another spot and see if they are listed on the e map as points of interest that are potentially in other games.
