Hopefully they'll soon let Wayfarers who have passed the test also use it. They might throw on a few more qualifications like number of scans in game or something.
I don't think it will ever be public. Too much garbage.
Look at poi and do scans. That in itself is pretty telling on where their focus is if that's all there is.
Look at any of their social media and you'll see VPS, scans etc etc as they tour some cities or get excited by Coca Cola and Lucky Charm apps :/
Maybe they have what they needed from Wayfarer and it's in slow decline and will be left to its own devices. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that as a company they have done this.

Waiting on both the Campfire app and Wayfarer apps to be released worldwide.
To out this delay into context, there have been dozens of demo apps created in the last few months some of which are going to be their own thing.
