Nomination was rejected without info, can I improve it?
Hey everyone, hope y'all are doing well. Got my nomination back today and it was rejected without any other details as to why. Is it possible I can improve it? Also, should I appeal it or simply retry my nomination? Here's what I tried to nominate:
100 year old Platan x Acerifolia
Description
This is the oldest and largest Platan x Acerifolia tree in the area; it has been dated to be over 100 years old! It also provides ecological benefits to the environment; such as energy conservation, filtering air pollutants, and lowering carbon dioxide.
This tree helps educate the community on the historical changes in our climate, neighborhood, and lifespan of city nature. Helping to foster a love and appreciation for nature will help preserve native wildlife and better quality of life for all of us to breathe better quality air.
Thank you all in advance for your help!

You can't improve this nomination. It simply doesn't meet any of the acceptance criteria.
If there were an educational sign talking about the history of the tree or the environmental benefits of the tree, the sign could be eligible under the exploration criteria. But a tree on its own does not educate anyone about anything.
Unfortunately this is a natural feature and so it not acceptable unless it is especially famous or has a sign. How are we to know you are telling the truth and not just nominating the tree outside your door? A sign provides proof.
Adding on: while it is a beautiful street tree and I don't doubt its age, Platanus x acerifolia (aka London Planetree) is one of the most common street trees in both North America and Europe, so it's not exactly unique or special.
(And not to be pedantic, but on the "education" side, it is Platanus x acerifolia, not Platan x Acerifolia. Species name is always lowercase.)
(Really though, it is a beautiful specimen & I can see it has outlived all its other contemporary street trees! If someone made an educational plaque for this bad boy, I'd vote yes)
A tree - simply not eligible.
Be pedantic, scientific names are one of the things that most people get wrong regarding capitalisation.
Funny enough, when trying to type the name correctly, the title and description were flagged as inappropriate and wouldn't allow for submission. Had to remove the 'us' in Platanus for it to finally get submitted.
its just a tree its a natural feature if there's a sign for the natural feature then that can be accepted
