Can some explain why this got rejected
Title
Blackwell avenue royal mail post-box with ER crest
Description
An ER post box was set up either during the rule of King Edward or during the time of Queen Elizabeth (E standing for Elizabeth or Edward, and R standing either for Rex or for Regina which is Queen in Latin).
I would like to say that this is one of the only things that can be made into a poke stop in this area there isnt alot of things that are interesting the only other things are already pokestops and are quite spread apart.

ERII boxes are automatic rejection for 99% of reviewers.
if you find anything else to submit I would definitely try to have your submission centred and straight and make sure it's not blurry. You may find something that is a great submission but gets rejected due to the picture quality.
As @The26thDoctor-PGO says, Elizabeth II postboxes aren't eligible. There's nothing about them that makes them particularly noteworthy.
Older postboxes from the reigns of previous monarchs sometimes get accepted, but Elizabeth II ones make up the majority of postboxes in the UK and are not really special in any way.
Additionally the text mentioning Edward and Rex is irrelevant for this. Postboxes didn't exist when Edward II was about.
I don’t see the rejection reasons listed in your screen shots from the management page but as a rule of thumb brightness is important and some times you have to wait till the right time of day to get a good picture
EIIR postbox - mass produced, generic, meets no Niantic criteria - automatic 1* Nomination.
I've just reviewed this nomination now, and noticed that it doesn't have the reference to Edward. That makes me think that you resubmitted it after being told that it's not eligible, as I mentioned that talking about Edward was irrelevant. If you did resubmit it after reading these comments, please stop trying to force it through when it's not eligible. And if you submitted it before reading these, please try not to spam nominations that aren't eligible.
For future reference if you really feel that postboxes fit any of the criteria @PITMANXD-PGO
ok so why are foot ball goal post eligible because that's definitely interesting and unique, why are trail markers eligible because its just a bit of wood that sticks out of the ground wow interesting and why are notice boards eligible because they seem like real interesting places to explore most poke stops don't meet the Niantic criteria and if the E2R post-box's are not eligible than why are others its the same thing just a different colour or a different cipher.
E II R Postbox. Mass produced because there’s 60k+ of them. Not a point of interest when anyone you talk to will have one on a nearby street.
Okay, let’s do these in order.
Football pitches = Great place for exercise and being social with others
Trailmarkers = Marking the trail which is a great place for exploration and exercise.
I realised I missed noticeboards. My error.
I admit these seem odd. Niantic (I don’t have the time to look for the exact comment) mentioned that these are a place for people to gather. I doubt that myself as nobody is at the noticeboards I check and I am never saying “hey man, I’ll meet you at the noticeboard”.
However, they are an “enabler” to being social. Many will have things about clubs or walking groups or local event information so it’s the start of a great place to learn about social events, so falls under that for me.
Hello @PITMANXD-PGO and welcome to the world of Niantic criteria.
it Is impossible for Niantic to have a ruling on every single item/place on a global basis. So often after a lot of back and forth more detailed pictures emerge about acceptability. There is a lot of judgement etc. This helps accommodate country and cultural differences.
This took place awhile back with U.K. postboxes. Not everyone was content with what emerged but it was workable. There is no value in opening up this thorny issue yet again. The point of greatest consensus was that postboxes brought in after George VI - marked ERII, except for Scotland where the royal cypher for the ERII period is omitted - where not eligible and that this would hold true if we had a new monarch. There are a few very specific exceptions eg those painted gold as this was very limited and specific.
This is not known by the wider group of players who might simply come across a postbox as a stop. You then get frustrated as the rejection reason is vague doesn’t meet criteria.
Similar arguments have been had about trail markers. Again not everyone is happy with the outcome, but they are acceptable as they promote/enable exercise and exploration. Search this discussion area if you want to read the points made.
Goal posts are the best indication you can get that there is a football pitch there which promotes exercise.
The role of notice boards with community information does vary and especially in more rural areas they are often an enabler of social interaction. Some are very plain and others more elaborate. There is a judgement call on whether a plain board is eligible - of its simply a place for adverts to be pasted - unlikely.
Just popped up in my review list at 14:34 19/10/2022. You really need to give this one up now you have been given very detailed information on this thread as to why this is not eligible yet you continue to spam the system. This wastes reviewer time and clogs things up for everyone. Reported as abuse (with a link to this thread).
Everyone in the thread: “This is a reject. Don’t submit it.”
