I got some pokestops approved and in the email it says up to 48 hours to be shown in the game.
Some of them passed a week and some even 2 weeks without being shown in the Pokémon Go game.
Is there any reason? is it a bug?
Read the email again. It says may not show up in every game. Now, google s2 cells Pokémon go.
This is a very common question, and what follows is what is very likely to have happened.
Although the impression you are given when you submit something is that you are hoping to get a pokestop the reality is that you are submitting something with the potential to be a pokestop - there is no guarantee.
Once reviewed, an approved submissions is accepted into the Lightship database - this holds all approved wayspots and is separate from all Niantic games. It is at that point you get the email confirming approval.
That is the end point of wayfarer, and what happens next is not related to wayfarer.
Each game sets its own rules as to what it will take from the lightship database to use in that particular game.
For Pokémon Go the rules revolve around the use of some mapping software commonly referred to as S2 cells.
Google search S2 cells and Pokémon Go - Pokémongohub has a very good explanation.
The key is that in the game, Pokémon Go only accepts 1 wayspot in each Level 17 cell. So if there is already a pokestop or gym in the game, in that cell, yours will not be selected to enter Pokémon Go.
It is disappointing and frustrating when this happens, but it’s something that people quickly learn about.
When you have something you want to submit, you can check the cells and be aware if it will enter PoGo or not. You can then decide whether to submit or find something else.
There is a lot to learn, but don’t be put off. It is very satisfying when you finally get it right.
if you provide the name of the wayspot and co ordinates we can check and confirm.
