Area for reviewing
I'm located in Belgium, in the Dutch speaking part. Yet 60% of the spots I review are from France, about 20% from the Netherlands and the other 20% from Belgium.
Most from Belgium are no where near where I live, more from the French speaking part. Which makes reviewing a lot more difficult since my comprehension of French is bit rusty.
I know for a fact some of the people I meet to raid with in the area have a big list of stops that need reviewing yet I never see any stops pass that are near me.
I don't understand to be honest. I'm near 2000 reviews, so not like I haven't tried.
How does it determine which stops you review? Is there a reason I don't really see many from around my own area?

This whole thread is the answers to your questions.
We all get nominations from thousands of miles away. That way local area can't form voting blocks with their own acceptance rules.
2000 miles (3200 kilometers) means I get nominations from one coast to the other in the U.S (English), Quebec City (French), Mexico and Puerto Rico (Spanish). You probably see a lot more outside your mother tongue than I do. Niantic seems to want us to grade them anyway. Google Translate helps, and when it stil doesn't make sense, I skip.
It seems a bit ridiculous sometimes when there are enough things to review in your own area (I;.e my own country) that we are reviewing things from 1000 kilometers away. I do skip things that I can't **** but it does disrupt the flow of reviewing.
