Why it is so hard to get new Pokestops in Switzerland!

In Switzerland, there are very few Pokestops. You are hardly out of town, there is quite nothing. And Niantic tells all the time, players should go out in the nature and explore. But when I try to submit a new Stop, they get rejected with lame reasons, even wrong reasons. There is a place with benches and a place to grill, it is officially marked on google map as a place with a special view on the city of Thun, but it got not accepted! And also sculptures just along the side walk, they get not accepted. But in New York, there are a lot of PS, every f*&%ç sign is a Pokestop...Why?!

PokéStops in Pokémon GO are based on Niantic's Wayspot.
The community also has users who participate in Ingress.
The community should refer to it as Wayspot, as it is used in other games as well.
Wayspot acceptance criteria are universal.
New York and Switzerland have different numbers of Wayspots but should be treated equally.
