Rejected for being a “Fake Submission” - Australia
Hi All. I would appreciate some feedback here on a nomination that got rejected yesterday. It’s a photo mosaic of a bird and is placed in a public park underneath a bench. There are so many of these approved in the game that I am stunned this didn’t get through
The reasons given were
* Fake Nomination
* Seasonal or Temporary display
It was installed after the latest update to Google maps in August 2021 so can’t be seen from street view. Location link is below
Should I just resubmit or appeal? Do I have to wait for it to appear on street view?

From the picture it looked like the bird mosaic was simply laid down or glued down. To the concrete (perhaps even added only to create a submission). I would recommend adding in the title/description or supporting information that it us a permanent art fixture. If there are other object around town, as in this is a series, I would include any information about who placed them it why and others that are approved wayspots. One would expect that these would be added when the concrete was poured, not atop it, so I can understand why someone would mark it as such.
Thanks for the feedback. It is glued down as it was placed there long after the concrete was laid. I’m tempted to take some grout down there and fill in the edges of it to complete it more, and will definitely add in more information about it as part of the supporting documentation. I’ve always tended to rush through this when nominating expecting the nomination to speak for itself as I want to just get back to the game but reading through the forum is showing me that there is a need for so much more
I personally wouldn't do that :)
You can do your own street view though.
I hadn’t thought of that. Good plan! Thank you 🙏
