The portal that wouldn't die!

A couple of months ago, I reported a portal as nonexistent, which Niantic rejected. After providing proof and appealing it on the Wayfarer forums, my request for removal was approved: https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/35422/portal-removal-appeal
However, the portal remained online for days afterward. The next month, I used an old key to report the portal again for removal, and it was accepted!
...and for days, the portal remained online.
And I did the same this month:

The interesting part is, this wayspot is completely gone in Pokemon Go, and another approved wayspot is in its place. But in Ingress, it remains, and remains on the Intel Map.
Actually, I now have two approved wayspots in the area taken up by this zombie portal, that cannot come online in Ingress until this one finally goes away.
A few of my friends have also reported POI for removal, that have been accepted, but have yet to be removed in Ingress (but are likely removed in PoGo)
Is this a bug, and can anything finally be done about it?

There must be some sort of bug going on because I cannot see "WWII Memorial" at those coordinates on the Intel Map. I can see the Whale And Whaler Memorial, and Boat Builder, but WWII Memorial is not on the map for me. Any chance you can get a screenshot of it on the actual map? Use the paperclip icon to upload it as it'll avoid review that way.
