As Ingress approaches a big event of Epiphany Dawn, we are advising to Hold any nominations until after the event (12th November) as at the last event, Niantic turned off Portal Sync for the weekend meaning that many Wayspots were “lost to the void”. We are not sure if they will do this again, but would rather be prepared.
NianticAaron says they are still investigating this, so please respond to their comment if you’re still missing some.

Please note that there is also Phase 3 of Epiphany Dawn on 10th December, so we would advise to Hold your nominations around this time too.

since there is a 2 year plus lag it is hard to predict if Niantic will mess things up at the point of resolution. 😂😂
And certainly over past few days a glut has been coming through ….so maybe nothing I can do 🤷♀️

I thought that the goal of wayfarer was to provide PoI to Lightship and we shouldn't worry about in which games they do appear (or not).
At least that's what I've read from some people posting in this forum whenever a new user complains that their approved Pokestop doesn't show up in Pokemon GO.
Who would ever say things like that? 👀
There is a difference between ‘Not showing up in Pokémon Go because it isn’t eligible for inclusion due to proximity rules’ vs. ‘Not showing up in Ingress despite being eligible because of a bug with Ingress sync which has been reported but not fixed by the Ingress team — but would have shown up if approved a day earlier or a day later’.
The equivalent would be Pokestops not showing up in Pokémon Go despite being eligible, or people complaining about portals not showing up due to the 20 metre proximity rule.
