Nice! It's still glitchy here in iOS TestFlight land. But definitely helps finding waypoints in the database.
Also has helped track abusers and get them removed/banned.
The most recent release in TestFlight enabled submitting and editing waypoints... there's no confirmation though if they have been received or if the buttons even work.
Is it easy to sign up, anyway?
Oh btw is it just me or this starting page design is just terrible?
Having the buttons at same size as GO's would be better.
Eventually, it will get to the rest of us! I'm not allowed to use TestFlight as my phone is employer-supplied and they make the rules. :)
For life in general, I highly recommend having your own phone separate from one supplied by an employer. In my case, it's my phone on which I load my employer's apps. I chose not to even take their reimbursement (we're a not for profit organization) because I would need a phone regardless of me working for them. I do not like my phone number potentially being owned by a company who can fire me at any time (typically numbers are portable but what if it turns out not to be in this one case?). I've been through 2 layoffs and I just don't leave things like this in the hands of a company.
Okay, I hate to interact with the map. Too slow and laggy.
I liked being able to see wayspots not on ingress without having to be on top of it, it would be nice to get an email with the edits though. I hope runs better soon.

UI might be slow. But it’s the early stages of something great/wonderful & Amazing.

I thought that initially but it seemed to get smoother after a couple of tries. It also moves fine when there are no wayspots on screen, and you're able to search for any location if you instantly want to jump to it.
I do wish the bar that you can pull up that has location details on it could also be pulled completely down to maximise the amount of map on screen though. It feels slightly cluttered. So far not a terrible experience though.
How do I sign up? When I try to login with google it fails, when trying to register with lightship it won't let me select a country.
Happened the same to me. What worked was going to Chrome and searching lightship on Google and registering there.
I’m completely dense about this but I can’t find the app in the IOS store and see above about a developer account.
so should I just ignore until available onto download on my iPad?
You’re not. You need to get it via TestFlight.
First use of the Wayfarer App @NianticTintino-ING is that many wayspots in all games are not showing up in the app.

So it asks me to sign in to lightship
it won’t let me use the Google account I use for ingress, and wayfarer.
so what do I use?
Had a quick play with it and I like it. Should be a useful tool.

Both the Android and IOS versions of the app, currently are open ONLY to Lightship Developer accounts.
I suspect that pogo, Ingress, NBA, Pikmin and other games will have access in the coming weeks
Good to finally have the android app.
Makes it a lot easier to see what wayspots have a shortfall of Wayspot scans, which I will try to achieve when I am out playing Ingress

Don't you think that access to this application will spoil the game even more? After all, people who like to destroy someone's fun will have more room to show off. Why not set the map so that you can only edit / report in places where you are actually staying?

You realise Ingress players can already Report Invalid Portals from anywhere? Also edits can be made at a longer range than Pokémon GO too? It doesn’t really change anything much in that regard.
