@Elijustrying-ING The team that is reviewing the submissions sent through the Wayfarer app is using different criteria, and is not following the generally accepted community criteria, or the nuances that Niantic has posted in recent months.
The acceptance criteria to get a public wayspot into Lightship seems to be very very loose.
The criteria to be allowed into the games is much higher, but not applied consistently across all Niantic processes, such as appeals, submissions, community appeals, nominations, etc.
My time participating in these forums tells me that everyone at Niantic has a different criteria of what should or shouldn't be in the game. Some accept an appeal, others don't, some accept a removal appeal only for another to come and restore it. Some remove a wayspot because of the "criteria" and others do not remove anything in a similar situation because it does not meet the criteria, nobody seems to have it 100% clear nor apply the same criterias
Only just worked out how the 26th doctor (probably will be David Tennant as 27) did this lol. I'll postt hem this way incase the original post got lost in the mods waiting room lol
@NoctarionD-PGO You are right that the criteria is subjective, even for employees and subcontractors with Niantic, and we see it every day.
However, in this case, if they don't feel it meets their criteria (which is outdated), the wayspot will never appear in any game. Even the documented core acceptance criteria changes, so having them accept in Lightship and then block in the games is very harmful.
There are no two separate reviewing processes. If the wayspot is accepted to Lightship, it will sync into games if it fulfills the location based criteria (distance, cells, no-go zones etc.)
If your accepted wayspot does not appear in games that is because a) location criteria, b) problems with sync, c) other technical bugs.
Is it marked as a "Provisional Wayspot" in the app? I put one in yesterday to try it out. It appeared on the app map in a couple of hours but that is just as a provisional waystop presumably it is yet to be reviewed but shows on the map so no-one enters the same thing again in the meantime.
This may be a crazy idea, I feel stupid for suggesting it but there is always the remote possibility that while we try to work out why x and y has an impact on z someone at Niantic pressed the 0 button instead of 1?
The 0 and 1 button pusher has probably been fired since the app went live and there's nobody left to know which is the correct button to push.
For anyone who submitted an edit through the app, did you get an email to say it had been accepted or rejected, or did you have to manually check to see if it was live?
I'm gonna be very unpopular on here, but now that ines passed, im gonna get all the others in if I can (well, almost all, pretty sure Neptune is missing and the sun is too close to close to a portal and in an occupied cell so not worth), I think they would be cool to have all in and they are all technically different D they are different sizes lol
Has anyone had anything accepted since yesterday? I've not and I'm now seeing a few people sayi g they haven't, so it's making me think maybe there is a bug with the submissions not appearing snd they've paused the checks
This system is broken, yesterday at 3pm I have one waypoint as been accepted and I have submitted new submissions. today no reply at new submissions and at POI sync time no new pokestop in pokemon go I wait for ingress
I second this, I got one accepted today half past midnight and it didn't sync with today's pokemon go sync, no wayspot near or in the same cell, probably in tomorrow's sync it'll show up? Hopefully.
EDIT: apparently there was no Pokemon GO sync today, I requested via in-game a nomination and it got accepted yesterday, it didn't show up today either.
although there was no sync with PoGo tonight there was one as expected on Ingress. A friends submission that was approved has not appeared in ingress where as others which were accepted afterwards have.
Do those that are not appearing in PoGo appear in ingress. It is about 80m to nearest wayspot.
Was not aware that there was a forum for lightship lol I've put a wee chat up in there about the accepted waypoints not appearing in game even though they meet inclusion rules, wonder if they will reply to it or give a copy and pasted wishy-washy non answer
I'm not expecting an answer, or at most "working as intended" but never know. It might make people rethink their submission choices, for example, im not putting anything else in till I get word back on the ones I have done, and when indo ill see if they all go in or not, then I'll probably only put in things I know naintic like but regular voters haye

I'm not the only one who did this... right?

This probably sums up what is happening.

I did that too and I have added something in the description box lol
But I can't remember what, I was sleepy after I had to wake up so early for that bloody strike!!!

For context, it's a cool wee thing in a park, so it's not like it's in a bad area or anything.

Poor NianticButtonPusherBert
I've started a bug thread thread just in case

Mine have not been accepted or rejected, neither did I get an email for those. I guess they are not as quick as wayspot submissions.
@HankWolfman-PGO For edits or photo I’ve had nothing yet?
@Gazzas89-PGO its a mystery as to why Saturn is blocked - set Saturn free.

I have had acceptance emails today but no sync. It happens from time to time.
Someone near me said the same, no pokestop appeared, but I just checked iitc and ingress, it's there, so yeah, appears there wasn't a pogo sync today
Abuse concerns have been raised in the lightship community.

Niantic is amazing after 6 years, they will always surprise me. 😉
Maybe the lion's name is Murial?
