Stupid rejections

I recently had a waypoint based on an informational sign be rejected. I am puzzled why as the nomination is in guidance with all criteria and comes under AT LEAST 2 labels. I see day in- day out pokestops in game with this kind of object and I am fuming why mine has been rejected. Rejection reason: other rejection criteria.

The labels are not a list of eligible things. They include ineligible things as well.
Care to take screenshots of your nominations that show the pictures you used and the text you submitted? Upload them using the paper clip icon as otherwise they'll get sent for moderator review which could take hours.
Alright:
Does the sign encourage exploration, socializing, and exercise?
If it promotes them, it is necessary to present it to the judges.
If it cannot be answered or if it is possible to refute, it will be difficult to approve.
It is better not to think about the results of other people's nominations.
Unfortunately that type sign is unlikely to get accepted.
It is basically a sign for the car park and the nearby premises it serves. You have the phrase “directional sign” in the title and those just get rejected.
I say unlikely as some others like this way spot, especially at the entrance to specific shopping areas do get approved . Seeing something approved in the game does not mean it was a straightforward submission approval it might just have managed to pass.
So it might be eligible for consideration but not judged acceptable. There is a difference between the two.
As your example is for a car park area behind a normal shopping street and supermarket it is unlikely to be viewed as a distinctive place to explore or socialise, and hence be rejected. If there had been a map at the bottom it might have scored more highly.
So unless you can sell the value of this sign more, it will continue to be rejected.
