Title of the Wayspot: Stream Restoration

Explanation: This Wayspot should have NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER been approved. The location in the photo is NOT where the waystop is. Instead, the waystop is in a WASTEWATER DUMP. Do you know what you do at a wastewater dump? You dump wastewater. For example, portable toilets, also known as portapotties. You dump that delightful sludge of human excrement, chemicals, and urine from portapotties at a wastewater dump. So Niantic, do you want your players wandering around an area where companies are dumping out their human excrement sludge? Apparently!!!
I personally did not go onto the sewage dump, because it is the PRIVATE PROPERTY of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission. The only other way to access this site is to
A. Cut through several private yards, or
B. Put on hip waders, and walk up stream, under a 6 lane-wide bridge, and quite literally walk or swim to the stop. That is how I actually filed this first report. This also required passing through private property, though given the uncertain navigability of the stream, the stream bottom may or may not have been the property of the State of Maryland, it sort of depends on the water depth and how the Coast Guard defines navigability on a given day.
So if the basis for the waystop isn't at a sewage dump, where is it? Why its entirely across the street.

1. Map of area. Pokestop is at very western edge of Malcolm King Park. Area in between brackets and with a red X on map is a sewage facility. IT IS NOT SAFE TO BE THERE. The general public cannot go there without trespassing through yards, or literally walking/swimming down stream. I am a member of the City's environmental off-trails team, and that is not an area that I would go without safety equipment. Accordingly, I do not have close up pictures. The red circle next to Lake Halcyon is where the actual "Stream Restoration" sign is located
2. Photo of the alleged stop as close as I can get, but would need to enter sewage section downstream to go further. There are no paths down this way.
3. The actual sign pictured in this pokestop, again, located next to Lake Halcyon, not in Malcolm King Park. Please note the number "2" on this sign. I note that all of these signs are located in the Lake Halcyon area, NONE are in Malcolm King Park. A review of the pokestops around Lake Halcyon confirms this.
4. Adjacent to the real "Stream Restoration" sign is the "What is Bioengineering" sign. Image 3 is the in-game stop for this sign.
5. Photo of real "Stream Restoration" sign next to "What is Bioengineering" sign. Note the "2" that was visible in the closeup photo of the real sign, and also visible on the misplaced pokestop.
A map showing the location of the "What is bioengineering" pokestop. The "Stream Restoration" stop should be next to that stop, not off in a yard/sewage dump inaccessible (and literally unsafe) to the public).
Additional information: As can be seen from other pokestops around Lake Halcyon, all of the signs are numbered. Stream Restoration is #2. The two gyms are "Muddy Branch - The Stream info post" (number3), and "Stream Erosion info post" (number 5). The numbers increase as you go clockwise around the lake, it would not make sense for the property owners (the Izaak Walton League) to stick their second info post along a sewage dump and across a 4 road, 45 mph road, on property that the City of Gaithersburg owns.

Is there any reason you didn't submit this as a location edit of over 10 metres via the Wayfarer support chat instead of requesting removal of a wayspot that does clearly exist but is just in the wrong location?
Because I was standing in hip deep water when I made the report and it wouldn't let me place the actual location where it was, so rather than continue to sit around in hip deep water trying to figure out the glitch I used this option. I've been trying to move or get rid of this stupid wayspot for a year now and if deleting it is what it takes, then that's what it takes.
It's not a glitch. Location edits in the game are limited to ~10 metres to prevent abusive edits. If you want to move something further than that, all you have to do is login to wayfarer, go to the help page and tap the orange speech bubble icon in the corner. This will open up a support chat where one of the options is to request location edits over 10 metres.
You need the name of the Wayspot, its current coordinates, the new (correct) coordinates, and any additional evidence you have that proves the edit is valid (which the pictures and text you've posted here should suffice). Niantic will usually review your request within 48 hours. And the great thing about it is that you don't even have to go swimming as it can be done from the comfort of your sofa!
