Ingress and the nomination screen

In Ingress, you cant see nearby Wayspots while submitting.
Since Ingress doesn't have all Wayspots available ingame, this leads to lots of unnecessary duplicates.
Will there be an update to the nomination map, similar to the one of pokemon GO?

There was supposed to be a plan to show ALL wayspots in the Wayfarer App, to avoid confusion and unnecessary doubling up of nominations that were deemed to be "too close to another wayspot"
