Special abilities for trusted wayfarers

In my city its impossible to get edits processed. I have some edits which are at least two or three years unprocessed. My method to still being able to edit titles/descriptions/locations was to create lists of Wayspots and my Improvement. However, its just unnecesary work for someone.
Is there a possibility to give some Wayfarers which are trusted by Niantic extra permission to edit Wayspots without the need of a verification by others or with way less verification needed? An example for this would be the Ingress vanguards.

A while back they did talk about different Wayfarer levels/types. I wonder what happened with that plan.
No, this is a bad idea and will lead to abuse.
Trust issue.
I had a similar question to this one. Let's up vote both of them and see if they get some momentum.

It can. But if you get similar consequences to breaking the Nia NDA, I wouldnt want to risk it.
If you break the NDA, your entire Account might get permanently banned.
Or, if a edit (or nomination!) is from a "Trusted Wayfarer", it could take fewer votes to reach resolution. Like, it starts out with +5 agreements, or whatever makes sense.
I truly believe that anyone with over 10,000 agreements, and over 200 accepted nominations should be a Trusted Wayfarer (until they prove they didn't deserve it.)
As much as I like that idea, and I would very much like having some extra ability to help my area and others; the same people abusing the system with multiple accounts and bots could pretty quickly accumulate enough “agreements” and “approved” nominations by mass rejecting things in their targeted areas while approving their own abusive edits and invalid POI. That could in theory create virtual armies of mass rejection and make the system very inefficient and incredibly frustrating. Hopefully they could do what you’re suggesting, but they would have to fix the abuse problem first.
for me, its not about nominating, but about editing.
I believe Niantic could figure out how to identify good Trusted Wayfinders and exclude bots.
IOW The qualifications could include enough to weed out bots. #nominated, #accepted, #reviews, #agreements, time served.
Like, maybe you need to have nominated at least 400, with over 200 accepted. You need to have made at least 10,000 reviews, with over 6000 agreements. And you need to have been doing this for at least six months, or two years, or something.
The time might be the biggest factor to weed out bots. Altho it could also weed out many awesome, enthusiastic reviews.
How to choose, and choose correctly, would be up to Niantic.
I can support your idea for expanded editing approval power. I do also agree that there can be a higher level Wayfarer Rating.
