All Accepted Nominations should count in All Games (stats/medals) whichever the game you submitted

If you are using a single account for Ingress & Pogo, your wayfarer nominations appears at the same place and agreements counts in both games as well.
If so, why not grant All your nominations accepted, whichever the game you submitted, be in All Niantic games medals and stats ?
For example:
Ingress : "Discovered Portals" (stats)
Ingress : "Seer" (Legacy medal)
Thank you

While I wholeheartedly agree with you and it's one of the reasons I nominate almost exclusively from Ingress...
Shouldn't this be an Ingress question?
If you want it to be a Wayfarer thing, I would think it more appropriate to ask for a stat page on our Wayfarer profile that includes number of Discoveries and/or contributions (edits, photos) and then request that PoGO and Ing pull those numbers rather than "Portals discovered" and different Agreement counts.
there's precedent now for Ingress gameplay questions slipping into ostensibly game-neutral AMAs so that's not disqualifying anymore unfortunately.
Right, not disqualifying, and multiple games have done that. I just wanted to propose an alternative wording that might get more votes and a better response.
Right. Asking something related to pokemon go is frowned upon, but if it's an issue related to Ingress then they'll argue that this is really the correct place to handle it. Such a lovely community.
M0ar P0rt4lz.
I have reformulated my question to be "Game Neutral" and be in the Wayfarer AMA.
P.S. This is Ask Me Anything so I can ask anything 🙃
I don't think it's Ingress-related. I think it's more of a Pokemon Go questiom.
Say I have 500 agreements on https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/profile. All my games say 500 Agreements.
Say I have 372 accepted nominations on https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/nominations Shouldn't all games I play have 372?
A lot has changed now, so it will be hard to count up the Seer medals.
I applied for and was approved for the current Niantic appeal for a POI nomination that was denied back in 2015, but unfortunately, the Seer medal did not count up.
Instead, as I have requested before, it would be better to post the nomination results as well as the review results on the Wayfarer profile screen.
Still, Pokemon GO doesn't have any similiar medal. Currently there is only Wayfarer medal which counts how many agreements you've obtained in Wayfarer.
But if Niantic wish, they can add "
Sightseer" medal in Pokemon GO.Edit: forgot that the medal is already exist in-game. Maybe "Tourist" or "Camper"?
The Seer medal was discontinued in mid-2015. (Nominations made before mid-2015 added to the Seer badge, even if they weren't approved until 2017 or after.)
VERY few current agents have the medal, or ever will.
I'd wager very few agents who got even one Seer point are still playing. Niantic just isn't going to put developer time into something so obscure.
The Seer medal counted until wayspot was nominated and approved by September 2015 when Niantic shut down nominations from Ingress agents.
Therefore, some Ingress agents told me that the Seer medal changed color and the Seer medal lit up around 2020 when the metropolitan area nominations were being discovered.
There's only the WF medal. Are you thinking of this one?
That's the number of different Pokestops/Gyms spinned. There is no medal for number of new Pokestops discovered by Trainers to the game yet.
Unless I missed something from OP?
There is no Ingress medal for new Portals discovered.
Well, if you nominated something before mid-2015, you might have some credit on Seer, but anyone who joined in the past 7 years DOES NOT. And anything nominated 2017+ by anybody DOES NOT. (Nominations were closed in 2016.)
If Pokemon Trainers would like a medal for any nominations made before mid-2015, I say give it to them. Of course they don't have any that old - same as 99.99% of Ingress Agents.
I think we were both saying the same thing. There's no medal for nominations.
Even thus I'll like to have my "Discovered Portal" Stat in Ingress showing all my accepted nomination made with my account, Pogo or Ingress.
The new Wayfarer app should also be link with your same Niantic account and counts for all new wayspots made.
this is a question for the ingress community forums since wayfarer team has no power over things displayed in games, and they have pointed that out a lot… waste of a wayfarerAMA question, dude. Wayfarer team can do zip about Seer badges displayed in games and can’t even do anything about which wayfarer waypoints are displayed in games. That’s why every pogo player asking here about changing the pokestop density is wasting their time asking since the wayfarer team doesn’t work on any gameplay.
If you wanna go post on the ingress forums go for it. ((Psss: I play ingress; I personally think this would incentivize terrible portal submissions and coordinated abusive voting just to get badge points. I’m happy with the current badge for review agreements. It’s easier to rack up agreement points than rack up successful nominations anyway- and an accepted nominations badge would be heavily biased in favor of rural submitters whose nominations go into voting quickly without an upgrade. Anyone, in any location, can currently review wayfarer submissions and get agreement points toward the current badge. I like that.))
tl:dr; as an ingress player I don’t think this is a great badge idea. But as a wayfarer user I know it’s out of the scope of the wayfarer team.
Someone suggested earlier that it might be a good idea to have the medals displayed on the Wayfarer site profile screen, etc.
Also, as I suggested before, it would be good to be able to see the nomination stats on your profile as well as the reviews.
I don't think that lighting up medals on one's profile within the game application is a particularly good idea either way.
And in the first place, in Pokémon GO, you can't check other players' profile screens, so it's merely a self-serving thing.
I really want the seer badge to return.
For anyone who doesn't want the badge, just don't submit or be stuck with bronze forever.
Aren't the scout controller badges hidden until you actually submit a scan?
nope, like most of the medals these (scout / scout controller) were added to your profile, but displayed with the lock-symbol over them out untill you reach the bronze medal
can't remember for Recon - but this one doesn't figure on new players profiles
