Questions vs Feature Requests

It seems like a lot of the most highly upvoted questions on this AMA (just like previous AMAs) are Feature Requests instead of questions. And it feels like a wasted question since the answer will always be se flavor of "thanks for the feedback, this is/should/isn't on our roadmap!"
Are Feature Requests as questions in the AMAs actually helpful for the Wayfarer team?

Does it make that much difference?
I personally only believe Niantic now when they actually implement something.
Everything else is just waffle.
I'm mostly just annoyed cause the same complaints and requests get all the upvotes every AMA and we rarely get any useful questions like criteria clarifications answered anymore.
Sometimes I think it helps, it mught get them to see what the people think is more important or if people are frustrated about things, rather than random thing slide going ona podcast. The only other thing I'd want is clarifications but most people would ignore them anyway (see ncn and picnic tables in some places)
Clarifications help make it a lot easier IMO. I've certainly had some stubborn-headed reviewers still reject things even with a clarification in the supporting statement, but most of the time it helps get it through. I've had a a few shopping plaza get approved recently that a year ago would have never stood a chance.
I think Feature Requests would be better handled if there was something like a forum section like this or bug report where people could upvotes them. Having them done here where it can take attention away from answerable questions feels like a wasted of an AMA. Especially with how scarsely AMA are now. I miss Krug's monthly AMAs.
I do wonder if our upvotes really matter. Check them 24 hours before the open period ends, then again at the end. Somebody deploys a lot of bots to upvote a lot of things. And then, I'm not so sure Niantic chooses the top 15 anyway. They seem to choose what they want to talk about (mostly because the script is already written).
But it's hope. And it's all we've got.
Niantic has demonstrated exceptionally obtuse behavior towards even the simplest QOL issues, across all products including WF. They will implement only what they feel benefits their income, as divined from some obscure analysis that has no basis on reality much less user input. Writing on this forum itself is a lesson in futility.
