waiting time

I've been reviewing for couple of months, have about 6000 reviews done and always had my status on "amazing" (or whatever it is in English) Since yesterday it went down to great and I've been put on waiting time for the 3rd time in the last 2 days.

It's frustrating, I just clicked the right location for an object and BAM on waiting time for 2 hours. Yes It was a quick decision because the object was obviously at one of the two suggested locations.

Yesterday I got put on waiting time after reviewing an object as temporary since the graffiti was on shutters which would only be visible when the shop is closed. So not visible during the day.

It feels more and more that because I'm taking it more seriously than others that I'm getting punished.

No wonder they can't find enough people to review, this is just frustrating as hell.

It's been **** lately. I'm going to ban every time I review lately. Today it was after denying two tiles on the facades of two private houses.

Yesterday my average dropped after rejecting a sculpture in a roundabout and also a tiny signature graffiti... Graffiti in schools... I'm going to have to choose to accept all this ****...

    ESP

That's not necessarily the correct way to review these things. If it is just graffiti that wasn't commissioned and is likely to be cleaned off, then yes, that would be temporary. If it's a piece of commissioned art on the shutter though, then it's not temporary. Even if you can't see it at certain points during the day, it does still exist at the location for the entire duration of the day.

What's the point of an POI if it's only visible at night?

I've seen nominations been rejected because the object had opening times, what's different about this one?

Take time - watch out for pedestrian access, faces, private residential properties and number plates.

In case you think others might get it wrong (playgrounds at schools that are only to be seen on google maps, waymakers that are eligible) - then skip.

If you can't skip, let it time out.

BUt most importantly: take your time. Even if you think it is an obvious decision, look it up on google maps, translate the description, check for 3rd party text or photos, zoom in....sometimes things turn out differently.

This way you should be back to Graet within 100 reviews (it worked for me).

well most of the nominations here are walking trails signs, they are so obvious, they tick all the boxes, and usually very visible on google maps so they go very quickly. I've done about 6000 nominations this way with no problems but suddenly it's getting really annoying. Ive been taking my time today and after doing about 60 today still my rating is on great and they kicked me out again.

But it's just annoying they kicked me out after one of those: where is this poi located with options to click. The poi was very clearly visible on the map on one of the two locations. I even put in the right category and yet it kicked me out again.

People that work during the day often play the games at night so that is when they see them.

In a standard week a shop might be open 8 hours per day the other 16 hours you can see the art.

So it’s there and visible the vast majority of the time.

A key factor for any POI is it doesn’t need to be viewable by everyone all the time.

There are two messages: cooldown and "no more to review".

If you get the cooldown message, then you need to review more carefully. Click pictures to enlarge. Click the title to open Google in a different tab. Click possible duplicates, to enlarge their pictures. Click the map google icon to open in a different tab. Switch from streetview to satellite; zoom in and out. In other words, give each nomination some consideration. ALL websites track your interaction with the site. It's standard, basic, free code to do it. Wayfarer is no different.

If you're getting the "no more to review" message, it means what it says. Your nominations to review are drawn from a roughly 250 mile (400k) radius of (1) your most recent place of play, plus (2) your chosen "home" location, plus (3) your chosen "bonus" location. If these places overlap (or if you haven't chosen them), your selection is greatly limited. Less geography = fewer places to review = fewer available to review.

Why do I have to take time if it's clear?

If a good nomination is clearly visible on a new streetview image (e.g. from this year) I can pass it in 10 seconds.

If the usual fakers submit their 150th fake submission with several (fake) accounts in their town again and Niantic is not banning them although I've reported them so many times I need 5 seconds to report them as abuse.

After several years of reviewing and a total of 70k+ reviews with around 40k agreements I think I know what I am doing while an algorithm that should prevent bad actors from abusing the system seems to act randomly.

There are weeks and months where I stay in great and then there are just hours when my rating drops down to fair. This happens especially if what it feels like being ahead of other reviewers with many reviews being undecided because of too less reviews. And why are there not enough reviews? Because reviewers are tired of too much fakes, abuse (e.g. pgo-s2 location edits), time outs and a company not telling/explaining people reasons for decisions that somehow seem to be random.

Sorry for this rant but it's so frustrating if you want to have a better experience for all players and reviewers. It's a Don Quixote thing here sometimes.

    Exactly this.

If you know how fast I can read (and there usually isn't much stuff to read), The time it takes to check for duplicates is not that much either (especially because I'm in a rural area and get a lot of nominations of empty streets)

It doesn't take long to review something to be honest. Especially if it's very visible on google maps.

I review on my computer because it makes the process so much quicker and easier than on a phone. Enlarging a photo to check if it's okay takes only a sec.

Clicking duplicate or a reason why it's not eligible doesn't take 20 secs either, and yes that includes typing more info.

Doubt I'll ever see the "no more to review" message as I'm in Europe. We don't get nominations to get accepted unless we upgrade them. I've got friends with nominations that are 2 years old and still haven't been reviewed.....
