Nomination of an (interesting) bus stop
Hello fellow Wayfarers,
I would like to nominate a bus stop that in my eyes fulfills the "artistic requirement" and therefore differs from normal bus stops.
That's at least what i understand from reading through the guidelines and through previous comments here.
The reasons for the rejection are "seasonal or temporary" and "inappropriate place". Both of those reasons are not very valid as the bus stop exists for years now and the bus stop exists, it is even marked on Google Maps.
I also provided some links to news on websites, as the main point of interest has a direct link to a technical invention done in an robotic facility very close.
That's my pic for the stop and the pic of the surroinding.
Here's one of two links i posted in the "additional information" section (and even mentioned explicitely picture 7 as it shows exactly that robot in real.
So, what am i doing wrong here?
Thanks a lot

The bus stop itself is still ineligible, so if your submission makes it sound like you're trying to nominate the bus stop, I can understand it being rejected.
However, the art may be eligible as a standalone object. You would have to try to prove that it is a work of art and not just a temporary and/or mass produced sticker that simply serves as an advertisement for the company that produced the real life robot though.
Personally I do think it looks cool though. It certainly grabs my attention and I've never seen anything like it. I could see it having merit in the exploration category, but I do think it will be an uphill struggle.
Focus on the art and how it connects to the Aerospace Center?
Try to not make reviewers think about the bus stop might help too?
What kind of art is it? It looks like a removable sticker from the pics.
The bus stop isn't valid, and I don't think you'll convince reviewers that the art is permanent. We've all seen bus stop art change out at the whim of the bus line.
@MargariteDVille-ING It depends where you are in the world. Art at bus stops in the U.K. tend to be community projects and are not connected to the bus operators at all, but are in public ownership. So not temporary.
Personally I like this as it is clearly a one-off, but you will need to write an interesting description and play down the location and play up the uniqueness.
Can you find a link as to the installation itself?
I like it and would vote for it as interesting art, so I think you have a chance of getting it approved. Anything you can do to make it clear that you're nominating the art and it's official and (reasonably) permanent.
thanks to all for the valuable comments, much appreciated.
I resubmitted the stop with the focus on the art and modified the description as suggested and the stop was accepted two days ago and appeared already in the game.
Great community here :)
Thanks
R.
Glad to hear it!
That’s great news👍
