Which of these has the best chance of getting accepted?
I have a level 14 cell with one PokeStop, that literally only needs 1 more thing accepted to make a gym. There are 3 things that are sort of grey area things that I keep submitting over the past month, all three things have been rejected. 1 is a pineapple mural on a food truck. The food truck is a permanent business located next to a mini market that has been in business since before I was born and I'm 38 lol. That's the other thing I keep submitting as a unique local business. I can see why people might reject the art on the food truck so the last time I submitted it, I put in the description to check them on Facebook for proof. It was still not accepted. The other thing in that s14 cell I've nominated is a auto body repair shop that's been in business since 1970 and owned by a local family. I had luck with two local food markets/ gas stations that got put into Niantic voting. Those were accepted in another part of town. I recently nominated the picnic area of the food truck and market(market sells hot food) instead of nominating the art again. I'm hoping for better luck with that one. I've had such bad luck getting things accepted in that s14 cell. I got a church sign approved, I stuck the pin on the sign. I also nominated the church and pinned the actual church. I was hoping to make those the gym and stop in that cell but for some reason when the sign got accepted, the location was moved right on the church so when the church went into voting, it got marked as a duplicate. So...thanks for listening to my long rant y'all. If needed I will post screen shots of the rejected nominations. Any advice anyone can give me will be much appreciated.

A food truck is going to be a hard sell regardless of whether you submit the artwork or the truck itself, since people will perceive it as a temporary/mobile thing rather than a permanent fixture. You will have to do some serious documentation of its permanence. You will also have to explain how it is interesting or has a high value to the local community... just being a local business isn't sufficient. If the pineapple art is basically just a logo or something fairly small I doubt it would qualify.
An auto body repair shop doesn't seem to be a great place to explore, be social, or get exercise so I doubt it's a good candidate.
The picnic area near a market is plausible.
Unless the church sign was a significant distance from the church itself then it wouldn't be a unique candidate.
I can say what has the least chance.., auto body repair shop. Give up on that one.
For the church, now that the physical location of the church has two possible photos, give the most thumbs up to the photo of the building. That way hopefully you can nominate the sign and it won’t look like a duplicate.
There is also a bridge in that area. There is a foot bridge part of the big bridge that has a side walk on it. There is no sign calling it a foot bridge though. Would that possibly be a good candidate?
How many people would accept a local market if I just put in the description "accepting this will make a gym and I will love you for infinity" who could say no to that? 🥰🤣
If it's just a sidewalk on the side of a bridge then no. If it's a smaller bridge that's parallel then possibly.
Yeah it's just a side walk on the side of a bridge lol I really wanted to ask before even submitting that cause I felt it would be a no, but you never know you know?
I recently saw mail boxes accepted as waypoints because they're under a pavilion structure. I thought mail boxes were a hard no so idek what happened there.
Many reviewers would be turned off by this and consider it “influencing”. Stick to describing the uniqueness of the market.
@RubyandSamsMama-PGO There are lots of things in the games that don't qualify under current rules. In some cases it's because they were accepted under earlier criteria-- I'm in my tenth year of playing Ingress now and the rules and process were much different in the early days. The criteria continue to evolve even now. Also, some things get approved because reviewers made a mistake, or they deliberately collaborated to make their own rules.
I never knew about Ingress until I got quite a few waypoints approved for it and not Pogo lol. I downloaded it with intentions to play. No one at all in my town plays. On the Intel map all the portals are grey and in recent actions, no one here has played the game at all in quite awhile. I played for a few days and all in all idk if I'll get the most out of it playing in a town with no one else playing lol
I can tell at one point either wayfarers accepted more or something idk. A PokeStop is in town titled "cow wall art" with just a plane cow head on wall. Then some grey words on a shed...don't remember the title of that one.
The picnic area is probably your best bet, but it’s likely going to hinge on your image telling a story at a glance of how it is a specific, permanent, identifiable area. If it’s a few tables off to the side, that’ll be a tough sell. If it has a patio, a roof, fence, tables that are visibly anchored… that will improve your chances. A sign, of course, would be even better.
The auto body shop doesn’t meet criteria, best not to worry about that any more.
The food truck/pineapple is possible but as mentioned before will depend greatly on the supporting field to prove permanence and community importance. “Since 1996, The Pineapple Express Diner has served patrons at the intersection of Maple and Main. Awards won include the 2005 Golden Fork for this region, the 2011 Silver Spoon Customer’s Choice Award, and the 2022 Platinum Sombrero for best burrito in the state.” Permanence, relevance.
I really feel like you should be writing my descriptions for me lol not joking. I did try to prove that the food truck was permanent by including the name of the Facebook page and mentioning the post that shows it listed as a business with it's location address. It was a very long description. I have heard some wayfarers get upset over a long description and to not add links, so I didn't add any links. Maybe they don't like the mention of Facebook for proof? I'm not sure. I nominated the picnic area this time instead of the pineapple art on the food truck. I feel that probably has the best chance.
This is the back of the food truck. It's a shared picnic area with the market beside it. Here's hoping lol
This is in Florida? Well, first, don’t upgrade. Local reviewers in Florida are very generous.
What about that little dog statue at the Shewmaker Animal Hospital?
Yes, it's in Florida.
Where is that? Lol 🤣

I think that food truck is in the same cell as Fiesta Food Market Mural. It won’t become a pokestop. Google maps shows a animal hospital right next door with a dog statue out front.
Yes, it's in Florida.
Oh no you're not looking at the right location. There is only one other waypoint in this level 14 cell and no animal hospital near it.
Also the Whisper Creek RV Resort has fire pit and a shuffleboard court.
@RubyandSamsMama-PGO you’re right I was looking in the wrong town. Does the laundry mat have a community notice board? You’re right that there is not much else in that cell.
