What exactly is this and is it and can I nominate it?

I've seen this at two churches in my area. I'm in an area that doesn't have a lot to choose from to nominate. I put it in Google photos and the only image I found that resembles it, says it's a DIY tetherball stand.
I thought this was a trail marker or mile marker but I'm not sure, so once again lol what I this and can I nominate it?

It looks like a home made volleyball/badminton net minus the net or home made posts for putting a banner/sign up so I personally wouldn't nominate them.
Neither of those look like good subjects. The tetherball poles are temporary and intended to be moved; you can tell by the fact that they’re close to each other and would need to be moved to be usable. The post is generic, whatever it’s purpose.
I’m not saying you can’t nominate them - you can nominate whatever you wish - but they do not appear to be eligible subjects.
Unfortunately, a lot of people seem to work on the basis of "Ohh - theres a thing - lets nominate it because we need a Stop", rather than looking at "the thing" in terms of the Niantic criteria - is it a great place for excerise, exploration or to be social with others that qualifies as a Nomination? Clearly none of these apply to two metal poles, so if you nomianted them they should be rejected for "other" - ie does not meet criteria.
Thank you for your input. I have only been A wayfarer since the beginning of December. I am learning a lot about what is eligible based on criteria from posting on the forums.

It's great that you asked and saved yourself the hassle of just nominating which lots of people do.
