Wayspot not showing as a Pokestop

I am a pokemon go player and have had wayspots accepted which do not show up as pokestops in Pokemon Go.
I have 2 wayspots in particular that i would really like as Pokestops.
Is there a way to request the wayspots get used as Pokestops?
Thanks for any help

Hi @johnhc86-PGO
You can't request that.
If they have been accepted for more than 48 hours they are most likely being blocked from appearing in Go due to the spacing rules.
When you submit a Wayspot you are submitting to the Lightship database which covers all Niantic games not just Go.
You can search for S2 cells Pokémon Go to see how it works.
Really niantic should just bite the bullet and make a pinned thread explaining as out lightship, the 20m rule and cells so as to save people posting a question every couple of days about why their portal/stop didnt appear
Hello @johnhc86-PGO
can you tell us the names and exact location of the wayspots so we can look into what is happening.
It is an automatic process so it all depends on programming so requesting is not possible.
They could also moderate better so that users don’t have to post it all the time.
The giant grey box you get when raising an Invalid Wayspot report, just have that in General/everywhere with some FAQs and links. Don’t even need to mention cells or 20m, but make it clear that if it’s been more than 48 hours that’s it, and that it’s in the database.
Collinge Antiques - 53.284211,-3.813502
Rhos Methodist Church - 53.307708,-3.743864
These are coordinates from google maps as close as i can get. Not sure how to access the exact coordinates.
Hello
First Methodist Church.
This is in the same cell as another.
They really should be duplicates.
Presumably the other one does appear in Go?
Because of the proximity rules yours will not appear in Go.
Google S2 cells and Pokémon Go for details.
Collinge Antiques
This is in the Lighthouse database
So it could be used by a Niantic game.
Oddly it’s not appearing in Pokémon Go
It is clearly in its own cell so there is no proximity issue, and it’s not appearing in Ingress
Is it more than 48 hours since it was approved?
Did you submit via Pokémon Go in game, or the separate wayfarer app?
Firstly can i just say thank you so much for this detailed reply!! I haven't a clue where to find the info and have been getting frustrated. At least now it makes more sense.
Yes i realised the church is a duplicate. Its actually an incorrect wayspot which i wasnt aware of as its not in PoGo.
The Collinge Antiques hasnt been 48 hours yet but i was concerned when i found that it said 'used in other niantic games'. Hopefully it will turn up in PoGo tomorrow 🤞
Again thank you so much for taking the time to help me.
Im curious where and how do you access those maps with the s2 cells and wayspots?
Thanks John
To be fair, there's times where it is linger than 48 hours cause niantic mess up the syncs, that's always fun lol
Wait, arw they checking g stuff on Wayfarer app again? I was under the impression they had just given up on checking stuff through that
@Gazzas89-PGO I don’t think they are …..but thought it might have got stuck from late last year.
@johnhc86-PGO
You need to have an Ingress account, level 1 is fine. Your can then access the intel map. This lets you see all the poi in ingress.
You then need the IITC plugin - overlays the cells on the map.
You might get more help and support over on Reddit as this is meant to be about wayfarer only.
I guess that it shows the used in other Niantic apps is because it is detecting it on the wayfarer app - usual poor Niantic communication
Hopefully your wayspot has appeared tonight.
It has now turned up in Pokemon Go 👍
Thanks for your help. Ill get myself sorted on Ingress for future nominations
Great news.
One caveat to what Eli told you... Ingress has a 20m rule. So the Intel map won't show POI that are closer than 20m to each other. But PGO doesn't have the same proximity rule. 2 POI can be within 20m of each other, and as long as they are in different unoccupied cells, they will be used by PGO. So while the Intel map used to be the boss, there are a few cases where it will misguide you if you're only concerned about PGO POI. Also, the Intel map will never show sponsored stops/gyms from PGO, though I don't know if you have any of those in your area.
