[PoGo] Newly-accepted stop disappeared after existing on the map for one day

in Report a Bug
Hi,
A new stop (pics #1-2) that I'd submitted was recently accepted and appeared on the map in PoGo on 2023-01-15. According to the Contributions page, the address set was: 8513 Germantown Ave, Philadelphia, PA, United States. As a side note, it should actually be 8511, not 8513.
I was really sad to see that it was simply gone the next day (2023-01-16) though. When I try to make a new stop submission, it still shows up (pic #3) as a Wayspot in other games. What exactly happened here and why would it exist for just one day, only to disappear the day after?

Hey @RemoatRadePass-PGO,
We’re constantly making improvements to Pokémon GO and occasionally, you may notice changes to the PokéStops or Gyms in your community. We're unable to share any details regarding any specific in-game locations. However, we've shared your feedback with the team. If you are having trouble finding PokéStops or Gyms near you, you may want to consider visiting local parks, tourist attractions, or other interesting and historical locations in your community.
At this time, your Wayspot "booked." is live as a Portal in Ingress Prime. Each game has their own set of criteria for this step, so some Wayspot may be accepted into one game but not another. We have moved the Wayspot to its correct location and if an existing game location is removed or the criteria changes, the Wayspot may appear within Pokémon GO at a later time meeting the in-game density and inclusion rules.
Best,
Right, so looking at the map, there is a Starbucks there. I'm assuming that's also in game as a sponsored location?
Sponsored Pokéstops and Gyms behave a bit weird when it comes to the usual level 17 S2 cell rules for Pokémon Go. They can both obey and break the rules. In this case, I suspect your wayspot came online because it was the only wayspot in that cell when sponsored locations are ignored. However, the fact it's almost basically on top of the Starbucks location means it was forced to be hidden (I've seen this happen a couple of times, where a sponsored location can hide a non-sponsored location if they are very close to each other, and this even applies across the borders of cells).
It is still in the database, and used in Ingress, and when the Starbucks sponsorship ends (no one knows when that will be), it should reappear right where you submitted it.
Thanks for the responses, everyone. I appreciate the time you both spent to look into this and explain things. I've come to terms with the fate of the "booked." stop. 😅
