Are there any chances to get a damn Pokestop accepted?
Hello,
unfortunately I moved in a rural area.
Unfortunately, because I it seems like I have NO chance of getting Stops in here!
No matter what I try, everything get rejected! So probable another player has to say good bye to the game? Or what is the thing with this random rejecting of everything? Btw I’m lvl50, see all the **** pokestops in the cities, and in my area they don’t accept anything. Fun fact, if I reject fake stops or really dump things, my rating ist instantly bad! So how can it be possible, that other reviewers just reject and reject and reject…

I'm sorry about the situation. Hyper rural areas often struggle because they simply lack the infrastructure and funding that is typically necessary for Points of Interest that can be eligible Wayspots/PokéStops. For what it's worth, while I live in a metro, I spend a lot of time in rural areas. There are player guides for how to get by without a lot of Stops/Gyms you can find online, similarly lots of guides on how to find eligible Wayspot submissions. Unfortunately, it'll still mostly be town centers, hubs, and recreation areas that will be eligible.
If you'd like, you could share some of what you've tried submitting if you think they should be acceptable and we can help try and improve, or if you feel comfortable sharing your approximate area we can try looking for eligible candidates you may have missed.
Hi, you can also use the appeal function.
Or "hope" that your new submission goes to the Niantic voting
I've been running into the same issue. I was able to get stops in the beginning of last year but now everything gets rejected. The appeals process takes far too long and you can only do 1 at a time last I checked. Only thing you can do is just resubmit until they figure out a way to remove the people rejecting stops that meet criteria. Best to save the pics and do them remotely so that you don't waste your gas and time trying to help your community .
It's not one at a time. You get to submit one and then you have to wait 30 days from then to submit the next one, and so on.
Can you give us some insight on what you are submitting?
One of the best things that you can do is to share some of your submissions here and get feedback. Also, remember that a good submission has two key components-- choosing a high-quality candidate, and presenting it well. That second one is often overlooked but it can be critical. Look at some of your submissions from the perspective of a reviewer and see how easy or difficult it is to understand the candidate and verify its accuracy.
I think there are still many resources in the countryside that could be Wayspots.
I don't know what kind of candidates you nominated, but I think you should find more attractive resources.
Please attach a screenshot of your nomination.
We can read it easily if you can copy and paste the text into the text because it can be translated automatically.
Finding a way to get your application approved is much more constructive than complaining about the reviewers.
I have definitely gotten rural submissions approved, and been to rural areas and found stops in surprising locations (I used to drive for a delivery service and went all kind of places in the middle of nowhere). I agree with the other feedback that you should post some of your nominations - particularly in the Nomination Improvement forum, as that’s why it is there - to get some other perspectives on what reviewers are seeing and how to improve.
I second the appeal option. There was this one submission that I submitted several times and ALWAYS kept getting rejected. I appealed it and they overturned the rejection.
I’ve just had a church hall rejected. Temporary seasonal display apparently.
Every reply in this thread was ‘show us the nomination maybe we can clear it up for you’ until this.
Nomination Improvement forum. This is why it exists.
It was a picture of the hall. With a picture of the surroundings. I know what I’m doing. I don’t need to share anything. Reviewers just need to stop being lazy and actually take time to find it on streetview. And a building temporary??
If you knew what you were doing you would know that Niantic deliberately puts up false rejection reasons.
Reasons I’ve voted against church-y nominations lately:
But I’m sure nothing like this could possibly apply, and it’s better to just walk into an existing thread and complain with no intention of improving.
@PeteC303-ING agree a church hall should be fine.
Maybe it was the bug that seems to never be fixed that when voting gets what the algorithm considers a confusing mix of acceptance plus duplicates and not enough to accept it rejects but instead of duplicate ( which would be wrong but you can understand) it throws out rubbish like temporary.
Did the church have some sort of holiday display up? That may have confused some reviewers. Or it may have been a misclick. Or it may have been a deliberately-inserted rejection reason as @X0bai-PGO mentioned.
These are my reasons too. Most of the time, it’s #1.
In the U.K. the common scenario is that the Church hall is a distinguishable building separate from the church. It is used in a completely different way as a social space for local activities ( not church related ) and can be rented out for individual events.
To me that is a POI in its own right and not a duplicate of the church.
Putting this back on track for the OP...
There's very little reason people would reject nominations if there wasn't a need to. Although it could be Wayfairer abuse (less likely) or a genuine mistake, there is usually a reason it's being rejected. As someone who used to live in a 100% rural area (closest POI being a 15 min walk away), I do sympathise that it can be difficult to find POIs. Trail Markers are a popular submission for rural areas - might be worth trying to submit one of those if you've got a trail locally!
Regarding your current submission: If you think there's no reason for it to be rejected, try appealing it. But don't be afraid to post the rejected submission here. We'll give honest and open feedback. It doesn't benefit us to reject your submissions. The more POIs, the more Portals/Pokestops/Gyms, which makes gameplay better for all. I'm sure I can speak for most reviews in that we'd be happy to go through what might be causing the rejections, to try and prevent them for you 😀
'Use the "Appeal" Function' I laughed so hard milk shot out my nose! I had a wayfare spot in a Public Park rejected by the "community" with the rejection note saying the Public Park was a "Private Residence" appealed that and never heard back, contacted Niantic Support and the Niantic "support" bot said and I quote "post a discussion topic in the Wayfarer Community to discuss this rejection." Thanks for the comedic relief you provided!
Technically, you can accept separate parts of the church, likens church hall, if its used for other reasons, like I gotnone nea energy accepted because the halls was used for tea and coffee after church services and it was also used for smaller weddings
