Submission in 'in queue' status for the last 4 months

I submitted this entry in Oct of 2022. The submission has remained in the 'in queue' status the entire time. Is there a reason it doesn't move through the process? Is this a bug? Or is 4 month time with no change to be expected? I look through the known problems, but didn't see anything that would apply. Or possibly I need to alter how I write submissions?

    Hi Stephanie,

    4 months isn't that uncommon.

    Mine take between 12 - 18 months to go through the system. It depends on your location, what else is in the system in your area and others factors on how your nomination is processed.

    You can earn an upgrade by reaching 100 agreements through reviewing which can then be applied to your submission.

    My upgraded submissions go from the above time to taking a couple of weeks to reach a conclusion.

    Hopefully this doesn't sound harsh but you could improve the picture and description on your submission to give it a better chance of being accepted.

    There is likely to one or two other submissions nearby that are already in voting and this one has to wait.

    I also agree that a better picture would help as this is a nomination that needs to be as positive as possible.

    Have you put some links in supplementary to demonstrate how popular it is and the wider things they promote.

    According to their website, they have been open since 1970. I would go with that date as it sounds more formal than and accurate than "since the 1970's."

    I tried finding a news article or city tourism guide fluff piece on it but didn't see anything. It's highly reviewed on Google, though.

    I know you're asking about how long it'll take, but I would encourage withdrawing this submission, taking new photos, and improving your text.
