Did the coal stop? It’s probably not gonna be much different. 80% coal, 5% okay, 10% duplicates and 5% good candidates.
Sounds like he gave pretty good advice generally.
His advice on the supporting photo wasn't particularly helpful as he didn't include the object he was submitting within it. He just took a pic of the sidewalk in the opposite direction so a reviewer wouldn't be about to see a wider view of the nomination in its surroundings.
Also him recommending people to look through the categories and submit wayspots based on these lists will produce a lot more coal!

I don't think there will suddenly be a huge influx of bad nominations though due to one video.
Best way to prevent this video from producing coal is to stop viewing and sharing it.
He has a huge audience. I do think we will see more bad nominations because of the eligible categories comment. Also he implied you could put something at your house to benefit the community and get that accepted. But I do like how he encouraged people to explore empty S2 L17 cells to find something in them to be submitted if they want pokestops. Hoping that will cut down on the frustration for people not understanding why they don't see their accepted nominations in game.
I think Wayfarer has much larger problems than one person making a video with a few inaccuracies.
At this point 99% of Go players know about adding stops. I've never really seen his videos before but I don't think hoards of Go players will suddenly be marauding their way over the map because of one video.
Even with the inaccuracies it's still miles better than any attempts Niantic have made at educating people about Wayfarer.
Perfect opportunity for people that know how to add Wayspots @BlameJamal-ING @LachlanF-ING to talk to someone who wants to help people learn how to add Wayspots.
I know they have had named guests on before Danbocat, Dphie, alfindeol, FishOnAHeater and even really big names like @PkmnTrainerJ-ING too so I can't see why it wouldn't work

I follow Billy fior a few years now and thought common.
He should have reached someone with more knowledge and talk about wayfarer but no.
He did a great job of explaining some of the fundamentals. Better than anything I've seen from Niantic who during their recent video made some horrible flaws while submitting.
Brought up how the spacing rules work, emphasised about picture and description, said roughly the same as Danbocat about communities and individuals coming up with ideas to bring Wayspots to their nearby locality. Mentioned about not including people, license plates etc. Brought up why Wayspots in areas like his submissions are good.
At least someone is doing something for Wayfarer it may not be exactly on point as some more hardcore Wayfarers would like but Wayfarer is currently stagnating in its own mire due to Niantic's indifference.

Tbh, he had some good advice, blithering of the 2 things he submitted were ineligible. The only bad advice he was was
1. The supporting photo he took a picture the opposite direction, rather than including the poi
2. He said use the what is it list for what is eligible, admittedly thats on noantic for including several ineligible things as well
but other than that, he's just helping people understand the cells

the dude did a good job first explaining about s2 cells so people understand to use this system for their benefit and dont get wasted submissions that only goes to another place aka ingress, because 99% of the submitted stuff are for pokestops not for another thing
the only thing he kinda failed was with the support picture his reasoning about it is not that bad either however including the main object helps a lot to pin point locations with no updated maps, but in this case i guess they have updated maps so doesnt matter for him or for that kind of submission in particular
and people here complaining about he telling people to check that list for see if they have stuff around that have that category? are you classic comedians? those categories are there for a reason, if its there thus meaning that stuff can go in, simple as that, the thing that will not make it go there are another factos such the fountain being inside a private property with no access for name one example...

The categories listed do not equal eligible items. It’s a list that they have pulled from elsewhere.

Yep, no one plays ingress where I live.but we have plenty of portals!
Maybe you should start? Sounds like plenty of easy AP and you can get yourself to level 10 & have more nominations.
