Just got a trail marker for a biking trail rejected. I thought it was an eligible POI promoting excercise, but guess not.
So I need a bit of help here...
Eligeble or not?
Bike rental shops?
Bike repair shops?
Biking trails?
Trail markers for biking trails?
DIY Bike repair stations?
Air pump stations (for bikes along paths)?
Again, my thought was that they would be eligible under the excercise criteria. (Get your bike out and go excercise)
All of the above mentioned have safe pedestrian access BTW.
Am I way off?

Trails should be fine but it depends on the submission.
I nominated the one only.
The list of places is More a "I Wonder if this is could be eligeble?" List.
I thought as much. But how on earth do I take a good quality photo of a trail? Tyre tracks on the ground I take it is not passable, or what?
It can be tricky if there is no definite sign, map etc
With all that I've learned in here over past week or so, I'm resubmitting the POI with better pictures AND an official link of the trail in supplemental comments.
If I'm shot down again on this one I WILL humbly ask for help.

You certainly don't need to ask for help and you can try it on your own, again. Other unsolicited advice I have is to make sure the area you're nominating has safe pedestrian access - bike trails are still great, but the continued mantra by Niantic was "adventures on foot." Make sure that reviewers can identify your candidate as being accurately placed. A good supporting photo should show your nomination and something identifiable on satellite.
Signs or infoboards tend to be among the strongest candidates, followed by important trail infrastructure such as footbridges. Everything you mention asking about is situationally eligible but some of them highly unlikely to pass.
The case must be made for each that they encourage and/or facilitate exploration, exercise, and/or socialising and that they are somehow important to the area.

Bike repair shops? No
Biking trails? yes
Trail markers for biking trails? yes
DIY Bike repair stations? no
Air pump stations (for bikes along paths)? Most likely no, unless it's also a trail marker

You might be able to get the non trails through. Some bike repair shops are community based and teach people how to fix their own bikes, have classes etc
The non trails are still quite a hard sell though and often end rejection even if your support is great.
