how much time does need for wayspot to be accepted or refused?

Hi, i proposed some wayspot last july, but still thery're on "waiting". I understand Rome in a big city but it is possibile that in so many month nothing changed? also a shop just opened near my street and he became a waystop in just few weeks, he never had a particulare sign or a shutter before the opening so a request couldn't be done sooner.
anyone had the same waiting time? why i took so much?

Hi. While Reddit is not always a great place to get advice from users, there is a FAQ section that explains the answers to your questions.

Hi, thank you, but i read all the FAQ section you linked and really didn't answer my questions. I undestand the problem about cells and the procedure about wayspots, the relation with ingress and all, but there isn't a really answer about the waiting time for a wayspot to be accepted, in the FAQ. There is a small section about "in Queue" but is really generic.
What i'm asking is an aswer about how much time a wayspot could take to pass from "In Queue" to "In Voting". I guess that six month are too much. The procedure for wayspot look like is abandoned, left to itself.
Areas with heavy density of wayspots and low density of reviewers can take much much longer than other areas. I have heard a year in some areas.
@LelloInUso-PGO The answer is anywhere from days to years.
You can speed that up significantly in many areas by reviewing enough to earn an upgrade and upgrading your submission.
In big cities, it takes about two years. In addition, if there is someone who applied to the same CELL as you first, you have to wait for that person first.
The person who created the shop either used the upgrade or went straight into the queue.
Niantic assigns some kind of random number ranking to each nom.
Some places (cells) are more likely to get long waits, altho maybe 1 in 1000 gets a short wait. I have one In Queue 16 months so far, but I have two from August and one from September that resolved naturally already. (All others I upgraded.)
Conversely, some cells are more likely to get short waits, altho maybe 1 in 1000 gets a long wait.
If you're in a cell that takes a long time, I suggest additional nominating whenever you're outside that 50-mile-square. It helps the enjoyment, to get things back, even if they're not near home.
Mine glitched one time and never got into voting. It’s only happened once last year but maybe it’s come back around im not sure. Hope this helps 😁
thank you all for the helps, i will try your suggestions
