How do they discern which is a developer submission and which is from hoi polloi like us.

I made the edits & submissions myself using the wayfarer app & they are being seen by the local community when reviewing.
I think the app was intended for developers to have things added to the map quicker.
If they are going into the normal review system how are they separating developer submissions from ours.
Only speculation ofc, if the plan is to release wayfarer app to everyone anyway, then it makes sense to push all submissions into the same queue to avoid collisions and race conditions. We have already seen CotW imports not appearing in game and blocking regular submissions, don't need more "special snowflake" wayspots.
Then, just give developers pack of upgrades and point to the wayspot criteria)
There are some checks that they can perform.
For example if you register and the first thing you do is submit a nomination, that might be a huge red flag that you aren't a developer.
If you don't read the SDK docs, that might be another, whether you download the SDK or not, etc...
Yup, its a sign the app is moving closer towards global release. Also just to note u dont need to be a actual developer to create an account. Technically any random person (even someone not at required level or even passed the test) can apply & login. Something Niantic should clean up asap tbh
I don't imagine as a developer who wants to test something you would be happy to sit through the whole Niantic process.

I confirm the recent change in behavior with some submissions performed from the Wayfarer mobile app (currently supporting developers only) being routed to the community. Because of the enthusiasm of our explorer community (you all 😊) and your usage of Lightship/8thWall accounts to test our new app, we had to take measures to redirect those requests back to you while our developers get their requests reviewed by our internal teams.

What’s the nominations cap via Wayfarer app & what’s ur thoughts on players that haven’t reach the required in-game level being able to submit using a lightship account
@NianThib will you limit the ability to move the Wayspots to match the current PoGo/Ingress limits and to prevent abuse? I'm seeing a wave of Wayspots being moved way out of the way to "free up the cell"
I had one of my nominations that I submitted through the app back whenever it was released come up for me in my review queue :)
Can the wayfarer team please start sending emails when our edits are resolved? As of now, there is no email when we submit an edit and no email when it's accepted (and I assume no email when rejected either).
I always get email replies for for edits
That's interesting. Just to double check, were those edits 100% sent through the wayfarer app and not, say, through Ingress on Pogo?
The app is as far as I am aware not yet set up fully to support this sort of interaction with emails etc
So although I had resolution emails for wayspots, the couple of edits and photo I submitted at that time have disappeared into the system…..hopefully to emerge at some date but meanwhile I have switched off from checking them.
My bad, edits weren’t sent through Wayfarer App, i only get emails for accepted nominations. Can anyone confirm if u get emails for rejected? I can confirm no emails for duplicates
