Requesting Title Changes to prevent location doxxing
I requested name change of these stops before. Because of the local community pushing certain names for the bot of our local server, they wanted street names in the title, for unique recognition purposes. These new names I propose have unique triggerwords for the bot as well, but no longer the streetnames. Since these are both reachable from home for me, it's very easy to cross-reference those street names and get my location pretty accurately from the gifts I often send out in Niantic games. Hence why I request this urgent name changing, please help me out, Niantic.
For both, city and country are the same:
Current Title of Wayspot 1: Willem Bilderdijkhof Speeltuin
Wanted Title of Wayspot 1: Kunstgras Speeltuin (Artificial Grass Playground)
Location: 51.995537, 4.356829
Current Title of Wayspot 2: Potgieterlaan Speeltuin
Wanted Title of Wayspot 2: Glijbaan met klimwandje (Slide with (little) climbing wall)
Location: 51.994958, 4.3578570
Thanks so much in advance,
In both cases, the current names are perfectly accurate and unique. There is nothing abusive or wrong about them.
If you want them changed, suggest a name edit and the community will decide whether your proposed names are better.
Also, if you don't want your location to be known, I suggest 2 things:
1) don't send these gifts to people you don't trust with your approximate location
2) don't post your (almost) exact home location to a public forum where much, much more users have access to it now than your friends.
I would want Niantic to change it ASAP and then preferably remove this discussion post. I can't go outside collecting 100 non-home gifts every day to send to my friends.
That's your personal problem, then. There is nothing about these titles that warrant a name change directly from Niantic.
both the current names and the new names are good quality wayspot names. With a bit of human empathy and understanding, they could just change it. I've made them into good quality wayspots before by updating their photos as well.
Okay can a forum mod remove this post please. Since it ain't gonna work I fear. Thanks in advance
Nobody are gonna care about your home address anyway. Submitter name displayed on Wayspot photos doesn't always mean the submitter lives nearby the Wayspot.
Thanks for the appeal, @Triptando-PGO! Based on our research, the Wayspots do not require any adjustments at this time.
