Denied Outdoor exercise stations not having reason for denial
Items such as exercise stations are getting denied but no reasoning for why they are being denied is provided. Other exercise stations in the same neighborhood have been approved no problem in the past but these have been sitting in wayfarer for nearly 3 years not moving. The items are visible from ariel view but street view has not been updated in 10 years so the street view is just an empty neighborhood.

Couple of questions. You have three nominations that have been in queue for three years? But one recently got denied? Did it go into Niantic voting? You had more than one denied? Sorry, just trying to figure out the situation.
Having no reasons means that Niantic reviewed it and they often fail their own criteria. After this long time, if you think this is still eligible, resubmit it, and review to earn an upgrade for it so you don't have to wait years for it to be processed
Ahhh. Love that Niantic can't even follow their own rules and glad they let it sit for so long only for that to happen 🙄🤦. To clarify this one along with probably 15-20 other portals have been sitting for nearly 3 years and must have have gone into Niantic voting after I released holds, and I expect there to be many more coming that have just gotten stuck. So far 7 are approved (funny enough another couple exercise stations and a dog park was in there) and the denials have been this exercise stations and a dog park. Not sure why they couldn't send out another email after the reviewal process if it's being done by Niantic saying there is no reasoning but I guess I expect too much. I will try resubmitting this one but it's relatively low on the priority list so probably won't get any upgrades for a while unfortunately.
Maybe they just did a quick glance and it looks like someone garden?
Obviously you should expect a bit more effort and knowledge from an official Niantic review since it's their system.
It's a shame there isn't some way to have Niantic reviews reassessed, it's pretty demoralising to wait so long and then be meet with a nonsensical rejection without any further recourse other than....Welp, that's that...
Well, there have been people who have successfully posted Niantic rejections on the forum and gotten the decision overturned. I would make a new post requesting this, and tag a staff member. Not sure which staff, someone else may offer a suggestion as to that.
I think it probably needs a supporting photo that shows more.
I looked at this on streetview and because this small section is out of date had to rely on satellite and matching the small bit of building was not easy.
What is all that nonsense on the right side of the image and why include it in the primary?
The trees?
Do you really not see that bright yellow box over there? It jumped right out to me.
Are you seriously suggesting that would be reason for denial?
It's a potentially-recognizable person.
Also, I hope all of the equipment in that photo is being submitted as a fitness area rather than as individual pieces.
There’s no reason why they can’t nominate individual pieces of exercise equipment. And the previous poster was referring to the yellow box truck.
@29andCounting-PGO Just like individual pieces of playground equipment clustered together on a playground are a single wayspot it seems that multiple pieces of exercise equipment clustered together should be one wayspot for the workout area rather than multiple separate wayspots. If they're spaced reasonably fair bit apart then they would be multiple wayspots.
Stop making assumptions, I didn’t suggest anything. I asked what it is and why it’s there, and I stand by my question.
Would recommend a better photo. The equipment does blend in with the garden. Also, although they are small, there are people that, when the photo is enlarged, can be clearly seen.
Your supporting photo with the people cropped out would be better.
It looks like these fitness stations are very close together. If so, Niantic says only one is valid and the rest are duplicates. Same as nominating every object in a playground. You can only pin each exercise station if there's a decent distance between it and any other station. Niantic has not specified how much distance is required.
Update, I appealed the dog park that got rejected along with this one and the appeal got their initial ruling overturned. This one doesn't have an appeal available but I will submit it again at some point and probably wait another 2 years to see it go through, but on well. The area has enough portals/stops so I am not super concerned. I did have this all as one exercise station, as I summited all the other groupings as different stations as well. I wasn't going to break it apart by equipment since they would all be in the same S12 cell (or whatever it is) anyways and would only make one portal.
If you resubmit with better images you probably won’t have to wait as long for a decision.
