Nomination Rejected
Hello there,
I recently submitted this nomination and it was rejected and I was wondering if anyone had any insight why it was rejected. This is the entry way placard to the neighborhood. I've seen other pokestops for similar features in the surrounding area so I'm not sure. There are garages but they are behind the sign. It's also very accessible by a sidewalk adjacent to it which is used by many people to walk to nearby shops and parks. Does anyone have any thoughts?
I appreciate it

For a Wayspot nomination to be eligible, it must support/encourage/represent socializing, exploration, or exercise. In most cases, neighborhood or apartment complex signs simply do not meet this criteria. Sometimes signs that are more artistic or maybe have a fountain in it get approved for the visual credit, but at first impression this one is too generic. Sometimes reviewers (community reviewers and even Niantic's review team) gets it mixed and approves them, especially when associated with a greenway for the complex. Your appeal may get approved, it is a second chance, after all, but personally I don't see this as eligible.
The comment below strictly doesn't matter in context of eligibility or whether or not you should submit it, but since you seem more interested in Pokémon GO:
Not every accepted Wayspot is able to appear in all games. The location of this sign is "blocked" by other POI already in PoGO. You could spend more time & effort coming up with better text but even if approved it simply won't show up in GO. I would spend more time wandering around the complex to find locations that support/encourage/facilitate the criteria, like playgrounds, picnic areas, or similar. I didn't see one, but many of these complexes have enclosed dog park areas that meet eligibility.
I have also recently noticed a lot of entry monuments in game, one of the reasons I came back to reviewing. I saw so many new pokestops appear in game that shouldn't be there, and once they are there you can't get them removed. There is a mini-mall by me that had one gym that was removed because the business closed down about 2 years ago. After its removal a new gym and 2 pokestops appeared within a short time span, and all were based on a circle of concrete built into the elevation (style) of the building. It is not artistic or unique (I mean there is now a gym and 2 pokestops in a mall with at most 10 businesses with the exact same thing). Annoying! So yes please don't nominate entry monuments unless they have something else about them that qualify (fountain, tower, art). Some may interpret your leaf sign as art, so hope for more of those reviewers.
