Oh great, another post where people treat removing perfectly fine Wayspots as a strategic element of their chisen game.
Just by looking at your Street View screenshot, I can tell that this field is not a private residential property or farm (because there's no building or crop on it) and that it's completely safely accessible fro the low-traffic sidestreet in the background.
In OpenStreetmap, the land that the cross resides on doesn't have any features (contrary to the land on the other side of the road, that IS 'farmland') and [the thin lanes on the edges of the road seem to be bicycle lanes (there's even a bike sign further south).]
-edit: the bicycle lane statement is incorrect - there are signs there, but the sign on the other side of the road actually points out it's forbidden to ride a bike on that road.
You allow yourself accusations with few elements as if you lived in this place…
Yes this wayspot looks perfectly fine but this field belong to the farm on the other side of the traffic road. It's not because you don't see crops at a certain time that it isn't a farm field. For the accessibility, this is a high traffic road at peak hours and the side road is just an access to privates residential properties.
Did you know that you can access previous Street View pictures online? I guess you didn't, or you wouldn't claim that the field is farmland. There have been 12 different Street View images taken at this place since 2008 and it's obvious that this field has not been tilled once in the last 15 years.
Also, if the side road provides access to residential properties, that means that the cross is safely accessible for people living in those properties. Which makes it eligible.
Yes I know, it’s not because I have <10 post on this forum and you’ve 1000+ that I’m dumber than you
The point is not creating drama, all I’m saying is that I’m living there and I can tell this Wayspot is on a private field and is not safe, no more.
Yeah, openstreetmap like his title says is open to everyone and isn’t necessarily right and up to date.
Edges of the road aren’t bicycle lanes. The bicycle lane is further like you pointed and the bicycle sign is the start of this one, right after the town sign. On the other side of the road you can see the end bicycle sign. This road is just dangerous.
Hi @Setyh-PGO , you're correct, I've edited my comment on this. It's actually forbidden to ride a bike there, as there's actually an interdiction sign nearby on the other side of the road

Hi @Setyh-PGO! After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
That is a mistake.
That is not what that sign means:

The end of an advisory cycle lane.
@NianticLC I don't see any "additional evidence" that this location is private farmland or doesn't have safe pedestrian access, just claims. Could you explain your reasoning?
