Unstable GPS in forest area leads to rejection of Pokéstop

Dear PoGo Community,

I have had a problem which had been leading to rejections of applicated Pokéstops for several times. I tried again one week ago but annoyingly ist was just another wasted upgrade.

Whats the prob? Due to very unstable GPS signal in the area (forest area with very poor signal), the marker cannot be placed correctly when I submitted the nomination. So the marker jumps on to a house instead of staying at the correct location. Of course the community assessed it as „fake located“.

I have already lodged an objection but have not received a reply yet.

Does any of you have an idea how to manage this?

Just for info, there are also Ingress players on this forum.

Getting to your point, as part of the submission, you can move the marker on the map to reflect the correct location where the nomination is.

While at the correct location, mark it on Google Maps. Take the pictures you need (and take lots of them!), then leave and go to a stable location. You can then submit your nomination from up to 10km away, using the marker you placed for yourself as a reference point for where to place your pin.

Please note that the renomination may still get rejected for mismatch location if there is not some kind of landmark nearby, visible from satellite, and in the supporting image to help verify your pin. If there is, be sure to mention it in the supporting so that reviewers won’t miss it. It can be as simple as a bend in the trail or road, a spot near a body of water, or a clearing; but try to give the reviewers something so that they can approve with confidence.
