Need help with nomination approvals
Hi,
I recently added few nominations and they are still in queue.
I read few posts that time taken for approval depends on number of reviewers in my area.
But my area really has very low numbers of players. Even there are very few pokestops in my area hardly 6-7 in 5 kms radius.
Therefore I grinded hard to reach level 37 to be able to nominate pokestops.
But now I got to know that it depends on reviewers so that is kind of disappointing for me.
Can anything be done to have some chances of getting it approved ?
Thanks

The first thing to keep in mind is that your submissions are not reviewed only by reviewers in your immediate area - rather, it's much bigger, around 100 km (hard to say exactly because it's not a circle). So, that might help put your mind at ease. You said "recently," but waiting 2 or 3 weeks for a decision is normal even in areas that are "fast."
The second thing is that you can review nominations to earn an upgrade. Once you have earned 100 agreements, you can apply an upgrade to one of your nominations, and that nomination will be reviewed by reviewers in your whole country. In your wayfarer settings, make sure "apply automatic upgrade" is off. Once you have earned an upgrade, you can apply it to your nomination of choice (make sure you choose "upgrade" and not "upgrade next").
Yes! You can review on Wayfarer, which will do two things to speed up decisioning your nominations:
Many new Wayfarers get discouraged (“discouraged” might be too nice a way to put it… “incensed and infuriated” might be more accurate) if they encounter resistance to their nominations. Wayfarer can be difficult to learn; most people think it’s just a matter of adding new places to their favorite game, but it’s rather its own animal. If you’d like some help understanding how reviewers will see your submissions, you can go into the Nomination Improvement forum and post screenshots of your nominations - all images, all text, and pin information - to get feedback. I highly recommend doing so; I know it helped me tremendously.
I was reviewing and I saw one nomination which is around 3000 kms away from me. So that's something of relief for me.
which country are you from to get something that far away? (you don't have to share if you don't want to)
It really depends on your area. When I was living in Arizona, for example, my turnaround time was typically about 2-3 months. When I moved to Michigan last year the nomination I made in May 2022 was approved a month ago, after I already moved out of the area. That's the longest it took to get a decision in my experience but I don't doubt that there have been longer wait times. I'm in a new area in the Tristate area and just submitted a few POI and I'm hoping there is a quicker turnaround time here.
