Accepted nomination but not on map/in game

I have a few stops that I have nominated and have been accepted and it’s almost been months since and they still aren’t showing up in Pokémon Go game. One of them I tried to make a new one of it, and somehow it showed me a map of the area and I think I saw both stops that were accepted but weren’t the same color as the stops that already exist in Pokémon go. Can someone help me with this?

I don’t suppose you’d care to scroll down a bit? There’s six threads with the same question within the last 24 hours.

But the answer is only one pokestop can appear in a cell.

This issue is a frequently asked question by Pokémon Trainers around the world.

In this Pokemon GO map, there is an invisible section called S2 cell.

Only one Wayspot can appear on the map as a PokéStop on the smallest parcel.

And the Wayspots displayed are on a first-come, first-served basis, after which the approved spots will not be displayed.

If you don't see it 48 hours after being approved, it's likely that the parcel is already filled.

    Hello and welcome @KatAttack1515-PGO

Niantic does a poor job of communicating what is happening.

You submit something that has the potential to be a pokestop - I appreciate that is not the impression you are given.

Once your nomination, is accepted it goes into the Lightship database - this holds all approved wayspots and is separate from all Niantic games.

Each game sets its own rules as to what it will take from the database to use in that game.

For Pokémon Go the rules revolve around the use of some mapping software commonly referred to as S2 cells it  breaks down the surface into smaller and smaller cells - each size is referred to as level and a number.

Google S2 cells and Pokémon Go - Pokémongohub has a very good explanation.

The key is that in PoGo it only accepts 1 wayspot in each Level 17 cell, so if there is already a pokestop or gym in the game from that cell yours will not be selected.

When you are a location and try to submit via Pokémon Go, you can see other nearby wayspots that are not in Pokémon Go. I think that is what you are referring to when you talk about the different colours, and seeing your wayspots. This is because it is accessing the main database.

If you provide the names of the wayspots and exact locations we can check for you.
