In Queue for unreasonably long

I have a nomination I submitted 2023-03-02 and still in Queue, another from the same day that has been voted on, accepted and appeared as a Pokestop. Then I have two other nomitnations from 2023-03-24 that are already in voting. Why is the first mentioned nomination "stuck" in queue?

Yeah, so my oldest In Queue is from Feb 2, 2022. Yes, it's been In Queue for over a year. Welcome to Wayfarer.
13 months?? thats crazy, and here I am, complaining about 4 weeks.
Mine is currently from Oct 28, 2021. And I won't complain for it anyway.
When things like this happens, isn´t it just better to withdraw nomination and try again?
Why would you withdraw in-voting nominations?
I mean, when they are stuck in queue, not in voting. :)
They're not "stuck," they're just waiting their turn in a very long line.
Well, that´s the point of my question, why some of my newer nominations seem to be jumping in front of line of the older "In Queue" nominations?

There are a couple of factors going on.
What follows is put together from bits of info over time as we are not party to the full picture.
To prevent one small area dominating the voting stream there is a random factor that prevents too many submissions close to each other going to in voting at the same time. You might submit A,B,C next to each one day and after a couple of days C goes to in voting. A and B have to wait for C to resolve, then one of them can be picked to be voted. That’s a simplistic view as of course all the time other people might submit too.
Once they are at in voting there is a huge variation of the time to resolve. Niantic have been clearing the backlog so this now my oldest in voting
A year ago it was over 2 years so this is a massive improvement.
This depends on number of submissions and number of active reviewers if there are not enough local reviewers it takes a long time to resolve.
A good idea is that if you are going to submit you do some reviewing so you are part of the solution.
