Stop approved - still not visible?

Anyone know how long it takes once a Pokestop is approved for it to be available and visible ingame?
A stop has been approved three weeks ago but still not showing up on the map?

There are many threads about this issue if you look on the first couple of pages in general discussions
If it is been more than 48 hours since approval it wont appear due to cell rules.
It would have to like this,
Once your nomination, is accepted it goes into the Lightship database - this holds all approved wayspots and is separate from all Niantic games.
Each game [Information redacted] take from the database.
[Information redacted]
For Ingress [Information redacted]
These [Information redacted]
This is the Intel map
[Information redacted]
This is the Lightship database
Point x that you submitted is already in Ingress.
And hence it was marked as a duplicate and I presume one of these is your photo.
So do read up on [Information redacted] submitting the wayspot [Information redacted]
Good Luck.
Hello and welcome @RaheelMadrid-PGO
unfortunately yours is not unusual problem.
if you provide the name of the wayspot and exact location we can check and give an exact answer.
This is the most likely explanation
The underlying issue is that Niantic have not explained what happens and as a result like many others you do not understand.
Although the impression you are given when you submit something is that you are submitting to be a pokestop the reality is that you are submitting something with the potential to be a pokestop.
Once your nomination is approved, it is accepted into the Lightship database - this holds all approved wayspots and is separate from all Niantic games. That is the end point of wayfarer, and what happens next is not related to wayfarer.
Each game sets its own rules as to what it will take from the database to use in that particular game.
For Pokémon Go the rules revolve around the use of some mapping software commonly referred to as S2 cells it breaks down the surface into smaller and smaller cells - each size is referred to as level and a number.
Google: S2 cells and Pokémon Go - Pokémongohub has a very good explanation.
The key is that in PoGo it only accepts 1 wayspot in each Level 17 cell, so if there is already a pokestop or gym in the game in that cell, yours will not be selected to enter Pokémon Go.
Sorry to be the bearer of news that will be very disappointing and frustrating to hear.
Try not to be discouraged as you have shown you can submit stuff that is acceptable.
@FruSkatteKat-PGO
maybe it should but it does give a chance to welcome someone 🤔
You can do both 😊 and you do it well!
Maybe we should have a meet & greet thread where new Wayfarers could present themselves? And all the ambassadors could be presented in the first post.
I know, I'm getting ahead of myself again...
That's not a bad idea but as with other forums, people don't drop in and take a look around before they post whatever is on their minds. I think of a forum as a party. When I walk in a party, I take a few minutes to look around and observe what's going on. I would never think about walking straight into the middle of the room and shouting about my troubles. That's what so many of these posts feel like. If people took 10 minutes to read through other posts, they would see, "Oh, other people have asked the same question ... lots and lots and lots of times. Maybe I should click on those to see what the answers were for them."
But shouldn't this forum be what we make it - the cool party!
The place where you say hello when you arrive and all the nice and friendly people who got there before you welcome you to join the party.
Drifting waaay off topic, sorry!
