Wayspot name and description edits

Is there a reason why name and description edits take much more time to get approved than photo edits or new wayspots nominations?
Photo edits for me take a couple of days while new waypoint submissions take between a week and a month to get approved, however not a single one of my name and description edits got resolved so far, the oldest one being from Feb 27th, is this normal?

See, in my area we'd be lucky to have a new photo approved that quickly.
Typically here, nominations take anywhere between 1 week and 8 weeks. Title and description edits would usually take 4 to 8 weeks. Locations would take a bit longer, and then pictures would just be left in the system for months.
That being said, lately it seems that all edits are going through the system painfully slowly.
And although I’m probably only about 40 miles or so from @HankWolfman-PGO i can only dream of those resolution times for edits and photos
I've had some edits in the queue for about two years now.
What would be awesome is if Niantic finally brings in our submitted edits on to the Contribution Management page.
I had a photo edit approved but the new photo never took over. and yes being able to see a list of edits you made in contribution management would help as I'm not really sure how long they take.
In my opinion, there are way too many edit requests put into the system. Yes, correct spelling errors if you like. But I don’t understand these edits I come across where one edit just seems to be a re wording of the original. Choice #1 “a great restaurant to eat with friends and family”. Choice #2 “a great restaurant to eat with friends and family. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. “. Why is the system being clogged up with these types of edits?
