According to the information that you have provided, that's not residential property, so it's a valid wayspot.
The rejection on "Private Property" is limited to a single family home, everything else is allowed.
Hi @Orace-ING! We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.
aight, you are right. It’s not house.
But in terms of being able to go into waypoint it should be deleted. I’m reporting this place everyday. Using ingress prime. Is that good waypoint only if employees have acces?
It’s not private property in terms of Ingress. A bit unclear but it’s ok. Is that place free to explore then? As I mentioned above I’m reporting this place also as unable to access. My post here is just for start discus about this place. You may look on intel map with “street view” to check what is going on.
The factory is accessible at least for the workers. Think about any worker that plays Pokemon GO and relies on that Wayspot to spin for items or set up lures during breaks.
It's not visible in pokemon GO. By the way that game would let acces to this point for everyone (because you don't have to be in place for action). In ingress, you need to be close to point- but it's impossible by safeguard and fence. That's why I'm reporting it.
Having a wayspot does not grant everyone access to the site unless you are permitted to, that's the advantage of having real life access to more sites. That's why the warning exists.
I could also link you a previous AMA but it is only available through the wayback machine, at least for now.
It doesn't meet any of the removal criteria, so it won't be deleted. Just because access is limited to employees does not make a Wayspot invalid. As Niantic use to say about limited access Wayspots, see it as an opportunity to make friends.
Then that's better, since most companies would bother to request POI removals only in Pokemon GO.
You’re trying to remove a legitimate wayspot because it’s the wrong color and you can’t reach it? That’s very poor sportsmanship.
if possible please close the thread. this discussion adds nothing. such real places cannot be removed from the game
@NianticLC
here we are with refusing report about Piknikowa altana. I mentioned there is no way to tresspass high fence, because it's not freely avaible for everyone.
There is video packed in *.7z which shows arounding "Piknikowa altana". In first second you can see waypoint I'm reporting. And last seconds you may see "Pompa ul Inflancka" (52.394164 /16.972544) which is perfectly seen on screen below (right hand site). Can you see little green dot left site? It's reported waypoint.
Are you kidding me? I have to be employed by the company to enter its plant. That's the rule. It's a bit like you want to enter a military unit without special permits (by the way, there are also such portals in my area). Color does not matter here, because I will report all portals that are not available - although I am more and more surprised by the approach of creators and other evaluators, it is possible that I will give myself fun in such an environment. This waypoint is just WITHOUT SAFE PEDESTRIAN ACCESS. It's restricted area.
shameles.
with all (dis)respect, but this place doesn't exist on maps. The pond visible from above serves as a fire protection. The local fools gave it a name and marked the "altana" as a tourist spot (which I reported on google maps and has been removed). Hence, others were fooled when confirming the existence of the waypoint acces and cool to be visited.
How many times you should be told more? Restricted access is not same as safe pedestrian access. If you can't access just because you're not the employee then leave that Portal alone—at least the company did the right thing to keep Pokemon GO players away.
Perhaps Ambassadors have to clear the misconception about rejection and removal criteria for everyone, especially about private non-residential properties and restricted access. @PkmnTrainerJ-ING @Elijustrying-ING @SeaprincessHNB-PGO @kawin240-ING @onecino-ING
Yeah so, it would be helpful if Niantic would actually show removal criteria in some visible place. Restricted access is neither a reason for removal nor rejection unless it's a place with critical operations like a nuclear power plant or the operational parts of a military base (residential areas within it are exempt from this). A paper factory site is not one of those.
Then again, trolls and wayfarer abusers have a lot of control over Wayfarer in Poland, as long as Niantic doesn't act more strict in complicated abuse cases, then unfortunately, posts and efforts like this are useless at the moment but might be of interest in the future when this changes.
There is no requirement for Wayspots to be accessible to all players at all times. Limited and restricted access Wayspots are allowed and even welcomed. Safe pedestrian access means that someone can reach the Wayspot safely. In this case, employees of the company. Nor does a gate block safe pedestrian access. One simply has to go through the gate to get access. Whether one has permission to go through the gate is a different matter and is not a factor in either the acceptance or removal criteria.
But it’s not safe place for walk. There is lots of awareness and that’s why no one except trained employees can enter.
yeah, sadly you may be right.
If you are going to claim that something or someplace doesn't have safe pedestrian access, then you have to show that it doesn't have safe pedestrian access. What makes the location dangerous? This appears to be a wooded area that is fenced off. However, being fenced off does not mean the location is unsafe to access on foot.
It’s quite fun. It’s paper factory. Did you ever hear about Health and Safety in factories? You bet it’s safe place and that’s why it’s fenced?
I find it hard to believe that a picnic gazebo does not have pedestrian access too. The site itself is not a safe space for a stroll for non-personnel but the gazebo is a break area of sorts for personnel that can be walked upon.
This photo also misrepresents the POI. Some shenanigans going on here.
This is a part that has not been used for years. There is a fire tank right next to it. In the satellite view, you can even see the pumps that float on its surface. The gazebo used to be a barbecue place. Today it remains a wasteland, terribly overgrown. The photo with the fence is the current state. The rest are old photos. Scout Controllers are people who work in a given factory. The point itself is several meters away from the fence (even further than it actually exists), today it is not even possible to correct the position due to the new rules (you must be in the place you want to move).
So basically, someone changed the photo in order to improve the chances of getting this Wayspot removed. @NianticLC I think some action is warranted to remove the unrelated image.
Based on the evidence provided, we’ve removed the invalid image of the Wayspot.
