Following an investigation we have confirmed the issue and identified the root cause of the problem.
Certain upgraded submissions were preventing others from being reviewed, delaying the upgrade review process.
I believe there was unconfirmed speculation they tried to create a priority group of users and/or trigger words, which became oversaturated, consuming all upgrade review slots, thus causing non-prioritized upgrades to sit in an untouched pool.
I thought it happened a month ago or so a week or so into May and I upgraded most right when it happened and then saw a post it had been fixed so did another batch. My last batch of noms I didn’t upgrade and all 15 or so voted and decided on within days no upgrades at my beach place lol. I never have auto upgrade turned on. Do I need to show my noms? Lol.
i don't expect you to know but if the question can be relayed to the engineering team and they have anymore clarity and information that they can share. if not, one reply here gave me an answer that seems plausible.
not trying to rain on your record daily decisions parade, but holy forking shirtbaIIs! TWENTY-NINE ?!
if you were tearing through reviews, and somehow averaging 100 agreements in 20 minutes, that's nearly 10 hours of work completely wasted. the only measurable impact your compensation (upgrades) had on those 29 submissions was supressing their resolution
a portion of that does appear to be on you, at least to some degree, as the last update we received on 6/8 said a fix had been applied and appeared to be working, but would still take days before reaching a confirmed resolution
regardless, I'm all but certain i would be physically breathing fire rn if i were you.
i would reach out to support and try to get them reinstated. i think i lost 2 or 3 upgrades, and I've been rather disappointed—but 29 is far beyond unreasonable
a loss of that magnitude can't simply be overlooked
I agree and hopefully they give us a couple back but in my area if I did not upgrade those they would just sit in queue for a year anyway. Ever since they revamped the way noms were resolved my noms just collect dust unless I upgrade them. The system does not work at all for medium sized cities. They were left behind with the new system. As you can see by my stats and what is left I basically have to upgrade everything or wait a year. Use to take around a month 1.5yrs ago to be resolved. This is why I can not stand it when people that do not vote complain about their noms not being voted on. You want yours voted on earn upgrades.
No movement on my two upgraded subs in the Denver area. One from 05/15, the other 06/09.
They usually go through in 24 hours or less.
I have seen far more nominations from outside my review area, which makes me think they're doing *something* that's pushing upgraded noms into my queue.
I'd really like to see my 5/15 nomination resolved.
Some movement on my upgraded subs as well: three into voting that were upgraded 8th June, one denied, one accepted. One still in queue. Feels like we're getting back on track. Thanks team!
For awareness, 3 out of 5 of my nominations that were stuck in queue and upgraded must've went into voting last night as they have been resolved this morning. (2 x Accepted and 1 x Not Accepted). This is the normal resolution time for me IF I upgrade a nomination with upgrades working as intended.
Those 3 were submitted and upgraded on 1st June. The 2 x remaining stuck in queue were submitted on 2nd and 4th June and would've been upgraded same day or shortly thereafter. Hopefully these will go into voting shortly and get resolved swiftly like the previous 3.
I also currently have one more upgraded nomination that still seems to be affected by this bug, which was for one that was already in voting after being submitted on 10th April and I think I upgraded on 4th June. (Can't remember when it went into voting, certainly was before I applied the upgrade. Sorry I don't have the Wayfarer third party add ons). No resolution on this one as of yet.
Seems like things are moving behind the scenes. I will keep you posted.
No movement from my 4 upgraded from 2nd of June. 1 is still in queue, other 3 were pushed into "voting" during, so called, 1st fix ~8days ago. Location's NW of UK.
NW of England. At the time of posting this, the last one from the queue went into "voting" and 1 out of the other 3 got approved. Decent upgrade investment I would say - took them only 2 weeks, instead of few days. I wonder how much time it will take for the non upgraded ones to move into voting. Got 2 sitting there for almost 3 months and 3 for 16 days.
No progress (yet) today. Both are in voting, but the 5/15 submission has been in voting for 3+ weeks.
I'm hopeful they'll get resolved soon, based on how many non-Colorado POI I'm seeing iny queue. It's 3* what it normally is. Why the one from 05/15 is still stalled baffles me. In a first-come first-served system, it feels like that one should've been one of the first to "unstick" once Niantic implemented a fix.
I'm sorry m8 (yes, it's still censored lol), but I've stopped reviewing and am not planning to start again. Will need to calm down properly, because how they've handled everything here makes my blood boil. I've enjoyed doing reviews on my spare time, that's what makes it even worse.

No 29 upgraded from the last couple weeks. lmao. Another 5 just went through. 2 denied boo.

Did you forget to disable auto upgrades, or did you just not notice upgrades have been broken for nearly two months now?

Now up to 21 decided on since 2:41 all old and upgraded. New personal best for accepted in a day already! 18 so far.
thank you
in what area? i still haven't seen anything move
Greenville, SC

Deleted 4 I think around 3:00 not knowing this would happen.
Hopefully the fix they pushed will work. I understand an update will be posted in the known issues thread at some point soon.

can you keep us updated on those nominations and if they show any progress today. If not can you provide details.

My location is South West UK.
@tomwe-PGO thatvis in my current bonus area 😃
so it was you rejecting the FC Stand then?? 😄
Top one accepted yesterday, second one on the 10th.
Probably not much help as I don't think the bug has/had effected me.
No movement from my 4 upgraded from 2nd of June. 1 is still in queue, other 3 were pushed into "voting" during, so called, 1st fix ~8days ago. Location's NW of UK.
🤔I should get these as I am in the U.K. in a black hole that always requires upgrades. Do you mean NW as in Highlands of Scotland or NW England?

upgraded mine 11 days ago nothing
@Shepeteksht-PGO let me know if you see any from the South Manchester area.
hopefully the normal queues will trundle along although in this weather it’s not conducive to doing anything.
@ACoonerMatata-PGO in regional terms where are you based please?
trying to monitor this to see if some are just not moving.

That last one entered voting now, and a decision on another (winner!).
