I did recieve 2 upgrades last week after my last comment, but there was no communication from Niantic, and I dont appear to have recieved one this week although I should be due 8+ in total. I wish they would just clarify how this is supposed to work. Is it one each per week, are they working through the submissions that they have identified as eligible in the order they were upgraded, or something else?
Someone in my local community had two owed to them and got them both at the same time last week. Perhaps it caps at two per week? If so, it would be very nice for me to have gotten at least one round of them in the two weeks after the announced reimbursements. We're fully reliant on Upgrades in order to get anything into voting here and I've got big improvements I'd like to make for my community.
Any communication and clarity on how this rollout is working would be welcomed, @NianticTintino-ING!
I still haven't seen anything.
I didn't do upgrades until Niantic acknowledged it was a problem, and said they were going to fix it and make it right.
Then my 2-3 the upgrades each took 2-3 weeks instead of 1-2 days.
@NianticTintino-ING I still have not been given an upgrade back and my nomination has still not reached a decision after being upgraded over 6 weeks ago.
im new to this thing, did i just choose the wrong button? i clicked upgrade next instead of upgrade is that bad?
my submission are still in queue idk if im experiencing this too? is submitting a pokestop that hard? like do u have to wait for like a month? i thought it would be days or weeks? just new here so i need advice to people who knows how this works
Depending on your area it can take days to years without an upgrade. Rural areas with less existing waypoints will move faster. You can earn upgrades by doing reviews which will push your submission up the queue. With an upgrade they are expected to complete in a day or two, however brand new submissions will not go into voting for a few days.
In your wayfarer settings you have the option "apply upgrades automatically". If this is switched off you need to apply each upgrade manually with the "upgrade" button. If the option is switched on you must choose "upgrade next" on a submission before your upgrade beomes available, and the upgrade will go directly onto that submission. If you have automatic upgrades switched on and you do not select "upgrade next" on a submission then your upgrades will go directly to your oldest submission.
my first time submission, i scrolled down and it only let me choose "upgrade next" instead of upgrade? explain what was that mean?
I am sure I received at least one reimbursement, but am confident I applied more than that during the period too. My post here listed two: May 15, and another post here says I upgraded another: May 18

This is a thread involving a specific issue which impacted Upgrades nearly two months ago, and currently the discussion is centered around reimbursements for those impacted Upgrades.

Hi @NianticTintino-ING it has been three weeks since your post and I have not been reimbursed for any of the impacted Upgrades. I worked closely with community ambassadors to document the impacts of the Upgrade issue and can verify that I was impacted.
Could Niantic provide some clarity or updates on the situation please?
@NianticTintino-ING I have not received any more upgrades since the initial two a few weeks ago. I should be entitled to at least another 6 based on the criteria. I can provide screenshots.
@NianticAaron @NianticTintino-ING it has not been four weeks since the announcement of refunded upgrades, and I have not received upgrades for any of my at least five qualified upgrades which I posted about in these forums and worked closely with your Community Ambassadors to identify.
Further to this, during Pokemon Go's Community Day yesterday I was told by some people that they had additional upgrades refunded that they did not even qualify for, yet four weeks in I have not received any compensation or consolation for the Upgrade issue. Would someone please look into this and correct it for me?

It has now been a month since you announced that Niantic would be taking efforts to reimburse Wayfarers whose upgrades were impacted by the Upgrade Issues outlined in this thread. As you know, I was impacted by this issue and worked closely with Community Ambassadors to document the problem. I even wasted an additional two Upgrades after the initial "fix" went through and did not work.
It has now been over one month and I have not been reimbursed for any Upgrades and have not been contacted by Niantic about this issue despite my repeated attempts and pleas. Please rectify the situation and ensure my account is reimbursed the Upgrades I am owed.
@NianticTintino-ING I am also having problems with upgrades. A few days back I contributed for like 8 new waypoints. I used upgrades on 2 of them but somehow 3 others also are getting upgrades. I don't want that! I did not upgraded them myself and upgrades are very expensive so I want those upgrades back.
Hi Epic, this sounds like a different issue to the one this thread is talking about. Maybe you have 'auto apply upgrades' switched on?

It looks like it's time for my weekly "I had Upgrades impacted by the Upgrade Issue described in this thread and met the qualifications for reimbursement but have yet to receive them" post.
@Elijustrying-ING were you able to bring this to Niantic's attention? Appreciate any/all help.
Here's an example of an upgraded nomination which clearly met the criteria you posted and has not been reimbursed. Please reimburse me for the 5-7 Upgrades I'm owed per the criteria you shared.
@NianticTintino-ING @NianticAaron today marks six weeks since it was announced that Upgrades would be reimbursed to Wayfarers impacted by the Upgrade Issues.
I have provided receipts of nominations which were impacted, and worked with Xeno to identify others which were impacted while the issue was occurring. As of writing this, I still have yet to be reimbursed for any of the Upgrades as you said we would be on July 17th, and I have yet to hear a response despite my repeated and persistent attempts.
A response or reimbursement of the Upgrades owed would be appreciated. Thanks!
We have reimbursed everyone who used upgrades during the timeframe. I have looked into your account and can see that you have had more upgrades than your agreements would have gotten. This suggests that you might have have received the reimbursements. We are unable to proceed any further with this request.
Thanks for a response! Are you able to confirm that the Upgrades were reimbursed or just suggest that they "might" have been? I had six or seven total Upgrades impacted by this issue. On July 16th I had 5 Upgrades. On July 17th I had 6 after filling my Upgrade Meter.
This has all been tracked by the bot in in the Wayfarer Discussion Discord, where it says I've received 4,180 agreements and received 41 Upgrades. Having checked the logs there, there is no point in time in which my account received a bump in Upgrades that did not correspond to my Upgrade Meter after doing about 1,800+ reviews that week, and I certainly did not receive a significant portion of the 6-7 Upgrades impacted back.
I don't appear to have been reimbursed yet. My nomination has been stuck in upgraded voting for over 10 weeks now.
@NianticAaron I believe I had about 10 upgrades in queue that fall in the period and I think I only received 3. It's a little hard to confirm the dates and when things were exactly upgraded.

I have recieved only two reimbursments but by your own criteria I am due at least 7. These all took more than 2 days to resolve, none are in the challenge areas (all UK), and all were either upgraded during the period, or were upgraded prior and resolved during the period...
Beautiful receipts! I wish I had installed the additional Wayfarer tools prior to this problem. It is starting to seem like they capped the refunds at 2 total, regardless of whether or not players were owed more. It doesn't seem like they're being transparent with this, similar to how they weren't transparent with the problem in the first place. It's unfortunate that they've chosen to respond this way and can only "suggest" that refunds "might" have gone out. If they came out and said it would be a maximum of two upgrades we could have taken that as our consolation prize, but being refused refunds that meet their publicly stated criteria is frustrating.
It's now been 13 weeks and I've still not had my nomination resolved or my upgrade reimbursed. It is frustrating that they're saying this issue is fixed and everyone affected has had their upgrades returned to them when this does not appear to be the case on both fronts.
@NianticTintino-ING do you have any idea why some of us are still experiencing this issue and why we haven't been reimbursed?
It's frustrating that it takes so much effort to get acknowledgement of easy-to-resolve problems.
