Approved Wayspots not syncing with Pokémon GO

Dear all,

At the moment, 4 of my approved wayspots do not sync with Pokémon GO over several weeks. On the known issus section, there is a post from 2020 that should have been resolved (https://community.wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/discussion/3145/resolved-approved-wayspots-not-syncing-with-pokemon-go#latest), but obviously, this (or a similar) issue did appear again.

Following approved wayspots are affected:

1. "Maibaum in Lützelburg" (Georgenstraße 22, 86456 Gablingen, Germany), 48.463695, 10.793659;
2. "Kirchbrunnen" (Georgenstraße 18, 86456 Gablingen, Germany), 48.463849, 10.794466;
3. "Gefallenendenkmal" (Georgenstraße 20, 86456 Gablingen, Germany), 48.463832, 10.794014;
4. "Theaterheim des TSV Lützelburg mit Dorfgaststätte" (Am Sportplatz 15, 86456 Gablingen, Germany), 48.466250, 10.788207;

1 - 3 are close together, but 4 is more than 500 m away.

Any ideas whether I can resolve this issue by myself (I did already uninstall Pokémon GO and removed all data, but after re-installing, there was no change - only the original wayspots did show up)?

When you make a nomination, you're submitting a wayspot for Niantic's Lightship database. Whilst this has the potential to be added to Pokémon Go, you are not submitting a Pokéstop or Gym and there's no guarantee your wayspots will be used in Pokémon Go. Each of Niantic's games has a proximity rule that determines whether new wayspots will be able to be added to that game or not. Pokémon Go uses level 17 S2 cells. There's a guide to S2 cells on Pokémon Go Hub which you should read about.

Given that you now have that information, let's look at your nominations.

1, 2 & 3) Maibaum, Kirchbrunnen and Gefallenendenkmal are all in the same level 17 S2 cell as "Kirch Lützelburg". Assuming that Kirch Lützelburg is a Pokéstop or Gym, that is preventing the other 3 wayspots from entering into Pokémon Go. Also of note is that Gefallenendenkmal cannot appear in Ingress either, as it breaks the Ingress proximity rule of 20 metres (this has no effect on Pokémon Go though).

4) Theaterheim is in the same level 17 S2 cell as "Biergarten und Freilichtbühne am Theaterheim des TSV Lützelburg", so if that is a Pokéstop or Gym, then that's why your nomination can't appear in Pokémon Go.
