Portal submissions are broken in Ingress 2.117.1

Yesterday I had 8 nominations available iirc. I submitted one (for later upload)

Then I tried to do another but got an error 'Nomination submission failed. Please try again.'

After a few attempts I restarted, and submitted again and it went thru.

Then I attempted to submit another but it says 'You have reached you max daily Portal nominations of 30. 1 more Portal nominations will be added tomorrow.'

A day later and the error still comes up.

I checked my email confirmations and I've submitted 30 portals between May 1 and June 2, so I should have 10 available submissions?

Go check Contribution page in Wayfarer. If your latest nomination was displayed multiple times, then there is currently an issue in Wayfarer side.

I did get 2 email confirmations for the nomination that was reporting the error 'Nomination submission failed. Please try again.'

Checking the wayfarer contributions, I also have 2.

I retried about 10 times, so the rest were lost, and my issue with that is the error/retry used up all my remaining nominations.

In the past I reported the same error with failed scan uploads, and am told this issue still exists for portal scans (in ingress)

Its less of an issue for portal scans now, as the quota is quite high.

I was doing 'upload later', which normally reduces with upload errors, but in this case it didnt help.

Its been a week and I havent got my nomination quota back, nor are the 2 nominations reviewed. But 1 of them is in voting.

I assuming ingress/wayfarer will always have bugs, but I ask that nomination quota only be used for successful uploads.

and/or increase nomination quota. It is currently 1 a day. Increase it to 2 a day?

Yes, failed uploads do use a nomination even if they don't end up actually making it into the system.

This isn't strictly just a Wayfarer issue though. The Wayfarer team likely can't augment your submission counter in Ingress to give you back the lost ones, as Ingress isn't Wayfarer. You'd have to ask the Ingress team about that and report this as a bug on their forum, though I also doubt they'd augment your counter. If anyone can do it though, it would be the Ingress team as the error happened within Ingress.

For what it's worth though, the same thing happens in Pokémon Go from time to time as well. Most of the time they'll shrug it off and claim you must've had bad WiFi or low signal, but I've had it happen with perfect signal.
