Incentivizing participation!

Can we have more transparency around Wayfarers and incentivizing participation? For example, can we get more details about what is expected of us and what rewards/benefits we can get for our participation?

The only reward is upgrades. The benefit is enhancing the gameboard. They are not allowed to give any rewards that have monetary value because then we are considered working.
The only "currency" in wayfarer are the upgrades and I don't think they'll be changing anything here.
It would nice for them to have some kind of mini reviewing events more often (not the ones like they've did with the global challenges, but something that could be done during the week/weekend) with the promo codes for Pogo/ingress. That would definitely incentivize people to review more. Imo, for a player, who has quite a few upgrades laying about and nothing to nominate in their area where they usually play, there's no sense reviewing, unless they are very passionate about wayfarer.
Just to add smth more - an option to change the bonus location at least once per month would definitely benefit everyone.
I can think of one way to create incentives for reviewing but most people would hate it...
Get rid of 40 submissions per person. Each person gets one submission per month. You can earn more by reviewing at the rate of, something like one additional submission per 20 agreements. Set the cap for earned submissions pretty high so people can bank them and then go on a submission spree if they want to.
similar imo. There should be a minimum and maximum in the stats. Niantic can make a determination on when the quality goes down based on the stats.
If you play Ingress or Pokémon Go, you will also be rewarded with medals.
If you're talking about the challenges, the rewards are usually mentioned in the initial announcement.
We've also talked of rewards for Trusted Nominators (100 or 500 nominations accepted) and Trusted Reviewers (20,000+ agreements, IOW more than the top Ingress medal level for reviewing). They could get more nominations... nominations, text edits and photo additions resolved faster... more input into the product...
I just got a bunch of items for doing reviews from the last challenge, how is that any different than giving me a smattering of in-game experience, or AP, or a small handful of items every so often?
I think they way they get away with that is because it was rewards for a contest.
