Good point @GribbsterK-PGO but not everyone likes just shorter routes. I have created a few over 6K and they are all being walked - at the same time I have a host of shorter ones and they are well walked. I think mixing it up provides the right amount of variety.
The system will end up with the vast majority of walks under 1K. I have already noticed that the only new routes popping up are all around 500 to 700m
Even @The26thDoctor-PGO has stated his majority are all in the shorter set up.
I know several people who do a lot of walking and the longer routes suit their activities. The same with runners. So yeah. Mix it up I say.
Right my review list grow. Another short street walk into queue. Book ended with stops, gyms and picnic space. Am still trying to work the system out. Just does not make sense
Because 10 mintues before the AI engine accepted another short walk around the local park. Which now has three walks in it. This time I created that one from the South. So people at each end of the park can start and end a walk. I walked it within 2 minutes of creating it this morning.
Since the queue again starting 6 weeks ago I have had 4 auto accepted by AI with 12 into the review queue with zero movement on those.
Three in/around parks, two in an airport, 1 a coast walk (residential one side) and the rest on streets. Length from 520m to 2.1k. So no clear reason why they go to the queue. All with Pokestops and Gyms (plenty of). So will shrug shoulders
I was doing a route yesterday and I got two end points. One for the correct end point and another random one. I was able to spin the random one
The disappearing end point is still an issue. Restart app
Re the review queue. I was talking to a couple of people about the routes being rejected from a park. They said they have nominated their routes in the same park as well and are still waiting for those routes to appear. Interesting. Dunno yet.
Hi Providence25-PGO - this is the only place to communicate about Routes in Wayfarer. As it is a PGO game you will not get proper support just in kind conversations from people having similar issues or just **** the breeze around the game
Officially you have to use the in game feedback loops, PGO website forums or PGO contact us pages. But good luck if you go anywhere with those. ;-)
Love to hear how it is going for you though. :-)
PS some people have had routes in queue for a very long time! There appears to periods where they select some people or areas and clean it up. But otherwise it is a blackhole of knowledge as to how and when routes get chosen to be reviewed
"Re the review queue. I was talking to a couple of people about the routes being rejected from a park. They said they have nominated their routes in the same park as well and are still waiting for those routes to appear. Interesting. Dunno yet."'
I should also have said the route that was rejected post publication was for inaccessible. All other routes nominated in the same park since then over the last 6 weeks have gone in the review queues and that is the same for different people. No idea if related.
I can see 10 in Richmond Park on Capmpfire but at 2,500 acres it would be hard to judge.
In a much smaller local park of 14 acres, about a 5/10 minutes walk from one end to the other I can see 7 that have either a start or end point in the park, 5 of them have both start and end point in the park.
I can see how some people are discouraged about finding routes. I am a mostly solo player in rural Oklahoma. I spent a lot of time planning and putting in routes in the small towns in the area. Ryan, Ok, 8/17...Marlow, Ok,8/19... Bowie Tex,9/6...Montague,Tx, 9/5. As is this post, only Marlow has a route that was created by someone else. I hope that rural and small town players will get to start following routes and collecting calls soon.
I am known in my community for my good routes so someone in a community half an hour north of me asked if I could make some for their local park. I drove there and spent an hour making several routes and one was published instantly. Yesterday I saw one of those in-park routes was rejected as "Dangerous or unsafe area". The route started at a Pokestop by the parking lot, wrapped around and between 2 fenced baseball fields on sidewalks, and returned to the parking lot. How is that a dangerous or unsafe area? I also noticed the 3rd route I created there isn't even on the campfire map so I am wondering if that one was also rejected and I just haven't been notified yet. Someone else created a route that goes in multiple circles in a parking lot area around and around itself and that one is still there and on the compfire map!
It seems that most published then rejected routes happen due to low ratings from players but it's difficult to be 100% sure with the lack of info.
I wouldn't trust campfire to show every route.
I had two auto accepted in the same nature reserve within a 20 minutes window. One appeared in campfire 24 hours later, the other still doesn't show.
It may be that campfire doesn't synch regularly. I know some have said that it's to do with whether the route starts or ends at a gym but I have created routes with stops as start/end points and they show so I can't say for certain.
Those would have been created after Go Fest on Aug 3-6th.
I stopped by on my way home two weeks ago to get one of those as a route badge thinking they would be a one off as they'd get deleted soon.
The Go Fest stops had been reverted back to their original or removed... No badge for me :( but campfire was still showing that the GF stops were there.
The 4 routes I mentioned are still in review. I have put routes in several other communities and follow them when in that town. I know some people in Walters, OK who use them. I have one in Ringling, Ok that I have not had a chance to visit after approval. All the others have been used by locals or people passing through.
By the way, my creator statistics doesn't seem to show my own trips. I have zero trips on some created routes, even though I have done them several times.
Nice work creating routes. And welcome here. The AI auto accepting and routes going into review are a mystery.
The app is still in development. So the stats are still not fine tuned. You will see differeing stats as well depending on synch timings. And nearby routes will show your trips and the totals made.
There is also a huge issue with routes being rejected post publish. @CopperChick-PGO I think everyone here has experienced this. I have had 2 rejected post publish and both for dangerous/inaccessible. One inside a park. With 6 gyms 23+ stops, cafes, playing fields, tennis courts, community centre, multisport hubs....And has two routes already connected to it.
Nor is there any sense in why some routes get accepted as some are crazy weird and some are clearly fake. Who knows how the system works. If you find out let us know :-)
So. As @The26thDoctor-PGO said. we have no idea why they get rejected but there is word on the street that people 1 star and or select reject because they didn't get a Zy cell. But no one really knows.
14 in review. Growing my queue maybe I should get extra rewards for doing so :-)
Maybe. We shall see. Nothing through the queue for 6 weeks.
I have seen other local Routes pop up. But I have spoken to others who say nothing moving in queue. So cannot tell if they AI or review process. Sooooo

I wager it's all the HAM and PIE - dangerous as in unhealthy (sad thing is it makes more sense than most rejections)
Eel pie too which to be fair is a pretty fair rejection.
Was forced to install the new app
Saw the new routes nearby feature. Now not seeing it. Don't know how it works. Changed areas too. So thought it may show up when I moved areas
Still getting the missing end points though. So having to pause the route then restart app to make red flag appear at end of route.
No difference in routes going to review. :-(
I was doing a route yesterday and I got two end points. One for the correct end point and another random one. I was able to spin the random one

I know that I've had more than one auto accept when there were 6 routes on the nearby.
Also had two auto accepted in a nature reserve that had three other routes in it.
I'll join you in the I dunno corner.

Speaking of parks. I am wondering how many routes you can have in a park..........hmmmmmm?
I can see 10 in Richmond Park on Capmpfire but at 2,500 acres it would be hard to judge.

I just got another AI accepted route. Walked it in 60 seconds of submitting.
Made another route 5 minutes later. In the same park. On a path no route existed. Straight to queue for review.
I can see how some people are discouraged about finding routes. I am a mostly solo player in rural Oklahoma. I spent a lot of time planning and putting in routes in the small towns in the area. cells
Out if interest are there players that you don't know walking your routes?
If you don't mind sharing @billybeets-PGO
No cell today but now I’m on 22/100 for one Route. I’m guessing that is as far as it goes.
100 is Gold.
Then that's it. No well done, no bonus, no I hope you had a fun time. Thanks for nothing, Niantic.
I was really hoping for some extra spawns or boosted cells if you’ve done the same one that many times.
I am known in my community for my good routes so someone in a community half an hour north of me asked if I could make some for their local park. As an example of why it may just be a campfire synch issue. Up until two weeks ago Brockwell Park was showing this on Campfire

I know it's not much help but you are creating things for others to use, enjoy so that's a good thing.

Hey question for people
Are you getting any routes going into the queue for review now getting reviewed or is the list just growing
I only get AI acceptance and an ever growing for review queue
;-)
Mine are either auto accepted upon submission or go into queue and then are decided upon in a large batch.
It seems like those batch accessories happen once a month but I haven't been tracking the dates.
Maybe. We shall see. Nothing through the queue for 6 weeks.
I have seen other local Routes pop up. But I have spoken to others who say nothing moving in queue. So cannot tell if they AI or review process. Sooooo
I hope it is batch review :-)
Batches were on 29/08 and then 25/09.
