I’m trying to make Routes that point out local history, or follow existing trails, marked with trailmarkers so it’s a bit disheartening to have them sat in the in-pile for months whilst I see things like this get auto approved.
Is that what they want instead? I don’t know at this point.
I think they know what they wanted to do but it's veered out of countrol, rolling down a hill, on fire, the brakes are broken with nobody in the driver's seat.
'That's 1,000 done. This @PkmnTrainerJ-ING is at 1,001 and wating for 4 months! Should we review it?'
'Nah, do the McDonalds one. I pass it on my way home.'
Rinse and repeat each week. When months increases by one, change the fast food place.
I was considering making some “showcase to showcase” Routes when I can come up with a better title than that but the rain put me off a little today. Still, I’m up to almost 30 walks of one Route.
Like, the only reason I can see it getting g tjaybid the GPS took me over the other side of the canal at 1 corner, but other than that, there was nothing wrong. Especially nothing abusive. All this has made me do is question whether is should even bother doing anymore since I'll get a ban for a **** review system
Are you able to share the path (draw it on Google Maps etc.) that you submitted for the Route? I’m curious to see where it went and I wonder why it got flagged.
This is just ridiculous. What have they got against routes by water.
Along with we won’t give you any feedback on the work you have done trying to create routes for the good of the game. We won’t give you any clear criteria. We will delete some you have done maybe on no evidence but we won’t tell you. We won’t actually communicate full stop.
Yeah, it genuinely infuriating because when I look at the guidelines, literally nothing I've posted or done meets the criteria. So now I'm having to orry I'm just going to get an unfair ban without any reason or any recourse.
As a side note, I decided to try and be safe, delete ll the routes waiting on review, but don't even have the option to delete them
I’m probably done for with my pub crawl from June, and the number of roads that some routes cross…..typical early 1900 street layout. And the other one from June crosses a railway line too🙄
Thought did you use the bridge to cross over at Stockingfield ? I wonder if their data is out of date.
Thanks. I’ll have a look later on, don’t know that we will be able to do anything but will pass on what we can to who we can.
As for crossing a railway, one of my routes also goes over a railway bridge and that one got reviewed by a person (as said before, the AI is not my pal) and that passed fine.
I did. But technically there's a path down the side, under the bridge and back up so it shouldn't have made too much of a difference. But yeah that may also be it. Although, surely that would come under dangerous or something then rather than inappropriate or whatever else I got hit with. That makes it seem like the words I typed or something was bad
**** You violated guidelines they refuse to tell you about. I don't blame you for not wanting to create anymore.
Up until now I've said to anyone who asked that you won't get warnings and bans from routes unless you deliberately put someone in danger.
I don't want to/can't say that to anyone now if you are receiving a stupid warning for no reason.
My oldest from September was just rejected, no warning though.
Goes through a nature reserve into Richmond Park then ends at a Wayspot that's a fenced off wildlife sanctuary. It's fenced off for the deer though. There are benches inside for humans.
I tried, but gave up after about 10 minutes of boy menus that sent me to pointless help pages. I've not managed to find out how to get to a human responder at all lol. I've sent a dm on twitter but I highly doubt they will do anything
@Gazzas89-PGO I feel your pain. Sorry to hear that and you had to join the club....
I have had another route rejected for inaccessible. 7.5 ks running route. 4.5K in public parks. Past tens of pokestops and 7 gyms.
I have done it at least 10 times. And others 40 times. I ran it on Monday.
I was pi55ed.
So I reported it again for abuse. I covered off three points
1) if this has been reported as inaccessible it appears to be abuse judging to how well used and all the waypoints it passes
2) if people are reporting as inaccessible / danger - they must report where that issue is with PGO reporting GPS with description and at least two photos. One of the issue and the second of the issue in context with its surroundings.
3) if it is deemed inaccessible and dangerous how will Niantic PGO handle all the numerous waypoints now potentially being a danger to participants. ((now all of us know this is not likely but it was what PGO are telling us).
Niantic responded. We have already told PGO team about this why are you tellling us again (becuase it is a new rejection) - that it could be rejected for any one of these reasons with list of rejection reasons (even though I told them specifically which one it is) - and resubmit if I think wrong. With no acknowledgement of ways to improve, if abuse is occuring or even if there is a danger/inaccessiblity PGO partiicpants need to be aware of regarding assocaited waypoints.
I don't know if it is by water. ... I know I had my coastal walks rejected. But other routes (by others) on the same route journey path have since been accepted.
Yes a high proportion of my routes of rejected (pre and post publication) are by water. But not all. So......
I was looking at tags. Or thinking of users. Wheelchair. Safe to walk for me is not the same as safe for elderly or otherwise handicapped. Safe for pets but hey some dogs are old or so unfit as they cannot get safely about but is that a reason. What is hilly? I mark as hilly if a mountain in involved or basically anything not flat. I am now at the point where I say there are stairs involved and not fully flat but not a mountain. But I think it is over thinking it. I think the AI sucks, reviewers have been given over protective guidelines, nominators are left 100% in the dark, and the system is abused by people who for some reason want your route gone.
I mean you may have users who want to EXACTLY walk the route shown to them in PGO (these people exist) and they may then report the route as inaccessible when they cannot............
But who, in that immortal Irish word, fecking - knows
Comments
I still have 2 from 24 June.
It’s a real shame that a chance to create something to be used in game has been handled sooooo badly.
This is a great positive idea/concept but it will probably be used for decades as an example of poor practice and what not to do.
More that if they are doing any they are done in a batch once a month?
I had one route accepted on October 5th. That one was under review for about two months.

I had 2 accepted 10/5 that were not instantly accepted. Were in review for a couple weeks.
Maybe weekly batches then of x amount
28/09
05/10
Another batch might go through Thu night/Fri morning.?
I could easily see it being
Friday morning- Route review hour. Unlucky Dale and Brad have drawn the short straws.
'That's 1,000 done. This @PkmnTrainerJ-ING is at 1,001 and wating for 4 months! Should we review it?'
'Nah, do the McDonalds one. I pass it on my way home.'
Most of mine seem to go through on Tuesdays. Been trying to figure out if maybe they just do them a couple of days a week.

It's difficult to say without lots of data. I'll track when mine go through. If they go through...
Well, I had my first rejection, I call bs on it as they gave me a warning g after it.

If anyones interested, this is what I said
And this is the warning that keeps coming up
Are you able to share the path (draw it on Google Maps etc.) that you submitted for the Route? I’m curious to see where it went and I wonder why it got flagged.
Started here
Ended here
Followed the green path next to the canal, with the red circle being where it went over the canal because gps issues
The only other thing I can maybe, at a push, see them punishing me for, is that it crosses a railway, but the railway goes below the canal
This is just ridiculous. What have they got against routes by water.

oh and we will threaten you with a ban.
Honestly words fail me……and that’s hard to do.

@Gazzas89-PGO have you tried Pokemon Go Support? Yes basically useless but they might give you a clue.
I tried, but gave up after about 10 minutes of boy menus that sent me to pointless help pages. I've not managed to find out how to get to a human responder at all lol. I've sent a dm on twitter but I highly doubt they will do anything
Report it in app for abuse of system. That there is no reason why this happening unless someone has the hump with your route.
They will tell you as you persist in communicating that they will notify the team but you will need to resubmit if you think rejection is wrong.
I also report using this Contact Us — Pokémon GO Help Center (helpshift.com)
But they will respond by telling you they don't deal it and to use the in app help.
But without noise no one will look at it.
And as there is Zero communication to us on how to improve, what to avoid, what the reasons were I don't know
@Gazzas89-PGO I feel your pain. Sorry to hear that and you had to join the club....

It is a Byzantium cluster fcuk
Is this what we call wishful thinking?

This one was a niantic review, it hadn't even been put into the game yet.
I finally managed to get through to a "human". This wad the reply
