lack of reason for rejection.

I've had a few wayfarer nominations that I believe have historical value or are visually unique rejected within a day, they don't get to "vote" and there is NO explanation for rejection? I'd rather not get hold of support as the Niantic bot doesn't give me an option so i can get hold of a human helper.

If your rejection emails look like that, then you are getting autorejected by the new automatic system that Niantic have implemented. It is designed to filter out low quality nominations before they make it into the queue. It is not perfect though. Could you please share screenshots of your nominations? I suspect @Elijustrying-ING may be interested to see them if they are in fact eligible nominations that the system is refusing.
Full nominations would be useful to see, if that's OK.
You nominated an abandoned train track, which isn't even eligible. Just because it is old doesn't mean it is historical. If it was covered into a trail by removing the track and brush, you may have something.
