New Route Problem
Yesterday I set up a route, but when I went back today to follow it, every time I tried to start the route my whole Pokémon game closed down. Then when I went anywhere near the starting point of my route again my Pokémon games closed down, I wasn’t able to open the game again until I was out of range of the starting pokestop. Is this a known problem? My partner was able to complete the route I had set with no issues, but I couldn’t complete the route. I then tried at a different location to set another route, this time it kept throwing me out again, this time I didn’t even get chance to create the route at all as I was immediately thrown out of the game. Has anyone else had this problem?

This is not a Wayfarer issue. You need to contact Pokemon GO support instead.
As Farix says, this is not Wayfarer related. That being said, I will offer a tip - try turning Adventure Sync off before doing anything related to Routes. There's a bug where they cause crashes on some phones, and it seems like disabling Adventure Sync whilst creating/following Routes mitigates the crashes.
